Here is a good reason to come to UND, Ducktober. I know it was a selling point with Peter Armbrust.
I pretty sure we can top Minnesota and Wisconsin as far as Honkers and Green Head Go.
That I wouldn't wish on anyone. It can screw you up especially if you want to play professional hockey and your team goes to Canada, you have to petition to be able to enter the country.
I wouldn't even want to speculate until something offical comes out.
But I am hoping it some thing minor like Under age drinking or a moving violation like driving with out a liscense or something like that.
My wife is faculty for that one I think I am all set, but what are they going to do start towing people if they don't pass, and is this a lot you need a 65.00 parking pass?
Huge loss for the Gophers, don't like to see that happen to anyone, but it had to be mentally draining to work so hard and then have your playing career cut short.
I notice they had a parking sign at the nursing building saying something to the effect that this lot now requires a parking pass. What the heck is that? I suppose a guy will have to hitch hike to get to the game now.
I think your probably right, if they did call all the obstruction it would force teams to play a different style of hockey just like the NHL has. It would be a much more exciting brand of hockey. I am hoping with time the NCAA makes this commitment to this style of hockey. I know I don't go to college hockey games hoping to see a 2-1 or 1-0 game.
I figure that is like 64,000 profit if they sell all of the tickets, I am sure the more beer that is drank the more tickets that will be bought. I suppose it will make its way to the Sioux Booster's a few times.
Last season I asked Greg Sheppard if they were going to ref the WCHA like the NHL and he said no.
I asked him why not and he said the coaches would approve of it. So apparently they aren't going to have plans of enforcing the obstruction rules like the NHL. I think that is a shame since UND line up seems very quick this season and a lot guys on the ice last night showed a lot of speed, especially brad miler.
