I think he probably saw the REA when the World Jr's were in Grand Forks and knows about the rink. Also, everyone knows if you want to play for NCAA titles and get prepared for the NHL UND is a great path to take. I don't think it hurts having three coaches that are Canadian either.

I agree that is a good idea. I think your going to see more guys wearing them that play defense, but I also think they are going to be mandatory before too long. On the flip side I noticed Brandon Bochenski didn't wear one last season.

Well lets just say, I am no lawyer but it would appear that the ncaa wasn't even consistant in their enforcing the policy since they have not held all the schools to the same set of rules. The NCAA has been inconsistant at best.
