It is not premature, the league has been in contact with UNO, they have been negoiating. There has been an offer on the table them to join the WCHA. They don't need to apply they were sought out by the WCHA.

It's give their program instant credibility, it means when they get into the WCHA they will probably be challenging for a super six and home ice and probably a chance to make the NCAA playoffs.

UNO has been in discussion with the WCHA about becoming a member since around the time of the April meetings in Florida.

I think we will have an announcement very soon in the near future and I don't think it's going to be UAF. Just a hunch. UNO is announcing a coach today.
