He must have watched the series in an altered state.

Just for the record, when Blais left UND, he endorsed Dave Hakstol and said basically that that UND didn't need to look far because they had the head coach on staff.

Evander Kane became an instant star in Boston with one punch. Kane is a tough S.O.B. and he made a name for himself.
-
As I was typing this Brad Marchand scores 28 seconds into the game.

This is karma when it catches up with you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XiTS8NjNao And of course Evander Kane Pounds Cooke. This was my favorite one. I was standing in my living room cheering this one. I would buy this guy a beer and shake his hand if I met him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xW9Sp-WndwA

This is smash mouth hockey to some I guess, I call it thuggery. I suppose there are many examples of smash mouth hockey as well. There's like hundreds of these examples.

DirecTV. is better.

I am thinking of hosting a party when he's gone.

Then don't, there is no excusing what Matt Cooke has done over the years. He ended the career of a Boston forward in Marc Savard, I also am sick of Pittsburg fans defending him as if he is some kind of a victim and he’s misunderstood. If he left the game tomorrow, the NHL would be better place for it… Think of it this way, if you would, imagine if the wonderful D-bag has ended the career of Alexander Ovechkin, Jonathan Toews or Sidney Crosby people would probably hold him in a different light. I don’t know if you do twitter but there are quite a few writers out there that few similar to this. When you listen to him talk, he sounds like a sociopath. You can bring up Andrew Ference, and Brad Marchand both guys together don't equal a third of the douchebaggery that Cooke has committed over the years. Neither of the said players have ended the careers of anyone or been suspended 31 games by the NHL. 31 > 7

Here's an interesting take on Cooke.

I believe in the old, act like you been there before, respect your opponent and I also learned don't write checks your body can't cash. When I was an MP in the Army I learned that you could escalate or de-escalate a lot of situations based on how you talked to people. A good way to get popped in the chin was to escalate things and talk to people like they were garbage or get cocky with them. This freedom to act like an ass and say whatever you want to people is bunch of bunk. I was in a bar one night and this guy I know said if I start a fight do you have my back. I you start a fight you're going to be on your own. If someone came and started a fight with you for no reason that would be different. The Hockey Code is kind of about respect in my opinion.

By any chance do you practice law? And I agree as well by the way. Hence the assault and battery.

Yep, I put the video up for that hit and the Toews hit as well on this blog post.

I don't like how he leads with the elbow all of the time, I am surprised that he hasn't been suspended more. Although I think you will see him suspended more if he continues down this path, much like Marchand got his ass in a jam for his slew foots. L.A. fans are up in arms about Richards being out with a concussion tonight.
-
I just saw the dirty elbow by Brown on Toews from the last game...Not a very good video... I will get it up if I can find it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyBSB0PIZJw

Pretty good break down by Joe Haggerty This is golden.

I am afraid that he can't ...

So you're saying it's okay and you condone calling a player that might be a member of a minority group, an ethnic slur on the ice. Because it's all in the context of the game? ... So, let's try this, I dare you to walk into a bar out west, walk up to the biggest rough neck you can find and talk smack to him and then tell him that you have freedom of speech and he has no right to respond to you with violence. Make sure that I am out there with you, because I want to see this happen. You have no idea about the hockey code. I am done talking to you, because my five year old and my who is uninterested when it comes to hockey, understands the hockey code better than you. Oh in closing, have you gotten into any more arguments at youth hockey?
-
That's buffoonish logic and that's absolutely not true, Jerome Iginla and other black players have been called racist names on the ice and as far as I am concerned they have the right to beat the snot out of the guys that say these things. You do not have the right to say want on the ice in the NHL without consequences. You live in a dream world and have no understanding of the hockey code what-so-ever. If you skated past Milan Lucic and said something offensive to him and he took exception with it you're going to get clocked. You can't even do this in woman's hockey.
-
If Crosby had done that to Lucic, we would still be looking for his jaw.
-
He's been pretty good.
-
I was wondering how long it would before you said that, so driving someone head into the boards or elbowing them in the head is within the context of making a hockey play? Then by the hockey coach that dirty play is answer with an action. So punching that worthless dirty hack in the head in the form of retribution after they injure your teams star player(s), is also within the context of making a hockey play.

Some day, someone is going to catch this P.O.S. with his head down, and he will "finally" get what's coming to him. Karma is a _________... It will be interesting to see if the Pittsburgh fans stick for this P.O.S. and deem him the victim. [video bush league hit] Heck even I said that Marchand was lucky to stay in the game after he boarded Neal.

Crosby skated in front of Rask and he shouldn't have... This bieat writer for the Bolts said it best, there was no reason for Crosby to do what he did. What the hell is Rask supposed to do? ... You can say that the pens win the series, but we will see. Boston has the better defense and goaltending. Erik Erlendsson @erlendssonTBO2h Sorry but Crosby has no right to go after Rask, Crosby cut into Rask's path and gave him a bit of an elbow Expand Reply Retweeted Favorite More
