Pretty good break down by Joe Haggerty This is golden.
-
I am afraid that he can't ...
-
So you're saying it's okay and you condone calling a player that might be a member of a minority group, an ethnic slur on the ice. Because it's all in the context of the game? ... So, let's try this, I dare you to walk into a bar out west, walk up to the biggest rough neck you can find and talk smack to him and then tell him that you have freedom of speech and he has no right to respond to you with violence. Make sure that I am out there with you, because I want to see this happen. You have no idea about the hockey code. I am done talking to you, because my five year old and my who is uninterested when it comes to hockey, understands the hockey code better than you. Oh in closing, have you gotten into any more arguments at youth hockey?
-
That's buffoonish logic and that's absolutely not true, Jerome Iginla and other black players have been called racist names on the ice and as far as I am concerned they have the right to beat the snot out of the guys that say these things. You do not have the right to say want on the ice in the NHL without consequences. You live in a dream world and have no understanding of the hockey code what-so-ever. If you skated past Milan Lucic and said something offensive to him and he took exception with it you're going to get clocked. You can't even do this in woman's hockey.
-
If Crosby had done that to Lucic, we would still be looking for his jaw.
-
He's been pretty good.
-
I was wondering how long it would before you said that, so driving someone head into the boards or elbowing them in the head is within the context of making a hockey play? Then by the hockey coach that dirty play is answer with an action. So punching that worthless dirty hack in the head in the form of retribution after they injure your teams star player(s), is also within the context of making a hockey play.

Some day, someone is going to catch this P.O.S. with his head down, and he will "finally" get what's coming to him. Karma is a _________... It will be interesting to see if the Pittsburgh fans stick for this P.O.S. and deem him the victim. [video bush league hit] Heck even I said that Marchand was lucky to stay in the game after he boarded Neal.

Crosby skated in front of Rask and he shouldn't have... This bieat writer for the Bolts said it best, there was no reason for Crosby to do what he did. What the hell is Rask supposed to do? ... You can say that the pens win the series, but we will see. Boston has the better defense and goaltending. Erik Erlendsson @erlendssonTBO2h Sorry but Crosby has no right to go after Rask, Crosby cut into Rask's path and gave him a bit of an elbow Expand Reply Retweeted Favorite More

Are you really this clueless? Crosby skate in front of Rask, that was Bushleague.
-
Absolutely disgusting display by the Penguins for not turning the other cheek. Another example of this kind of thuggery the Pens are known for.
-
Yep, that's true. If Rau had to answer for his mouth on the ice, he wouldn't run it as much.
-
There are actually people that have said that the cage probably causes concussions and makes the game dirtier because the sticks tend come up when the player wear them, I hate them myself. Former Fighting Sioux Perry Berezan once said that.
-
Brad was talking about the television deal on the chat this past week, apparently all of the schools in the league have to agree on the TV deal thing for a school to get their own deal.
-
That's the same conclusion that I came a long time ago, arguing with DaveK is like arguing with my five year old, only she's more reasonable.
-
Both players are such great citizens (P.O.S.) especially that Ulfie Samuelsson who was voted one of the dirtiest players in the NHL by the readers on ESPN. Eventually Karma hit Samuelsson. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ao1cMIGBf4s
-
This comes from a fan that thinks Matt Cooke and Ulfie are great players ... So you can throw credibility around all you want.
-
I haven't played softball since 1992 so I have never seen anyone wear a cage on the hill. But, I can see why it might be good.
-
Yeah, the act of two guys agreeing to a fight is so much more dirty than Matt Cooke ending the career of Marc Savard. Actually here is that history of that gutless P.O.S. Matt Cooke he's quite the clean guy, oh yeah, I am sure he's miss understood right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0waePHWjVGY
-
You need a book to defend your position Koski? Come up with your own Material, the fact that you defend Matt Cooke means have no leg to stand on and no moral high ground what-so-ever. Learn to think for your self.
-
There is no check-mate. That's a horrible argument, you have a middle weight agitator in Avery that would drop the gloves and became famous for his Sloppy Seconds comments and as far as I am concerned really didn't play the game in a dirty manner and played by the hockey code. You have a player in Cal Clutterbuck that plays the game with-in the rule book and usally leads the NHL in hits and doesn't take a lot of penalties, while Cal doesn't fight a lot, he will drop the gloves from time-to-time and plays within the rule book per the hockey code. The part that kills his argument is he puts these two players in the same category with a gutless puke like Maxim Lapierre that among most things runs around flopping and diving all over the ice and is a basic fraud. Lapierre is more like the Penguins hack Matt Cooke who won't fight who has been suspended over 31 games by the NHL. This is the same P.O.S. that lacks honor and no respect for others if he was removed by a dirty hit would probably do the NHL a favor. So in my opinion that's a horrible framed argument , and I suggest that you watch five year old girls hockey because there is probably little chance that you will witness any violence and they will be wearing the full shield. I am done talking to you Koski because you're beyond comprehending that the NHL is a contact sport and Fighting and the hockey code are part of the NHL and will continue to be part of the game of hockey. I am glad that you can glom on and drink Adam Proteau's Kool Aid. I can counter ever one of his arguments by quoting most tough guys currently playing in the NHL.
