So we have a UND fan minimizing their accomplishments by saying, "zero road victories and counting!!" The reason they haven't won on the road is because they crushed their opponents and received a home field advantage throughout the playoffs. While I don't particularly care about NDSU football, they're a legit team, and worth the accolades they have received.

I am going to call shennigans on that one.

It would be interesting to see what the break down of those 100 games and how many of them were on the road.

Looking at the Standings, UND has a 3-6 non-conference record and of the 12 teams in the BSC only four teams have a record above .500 right now. Weber State, last year dance participant, is also 3-6. I guess I don't see the grounds for firing the coach who has put a respectable team on the hard wood. The Big Sky is a pretty tough conference and I don't think last year run was a fluke.

IRC UND lost to Weber State in the BSC championship title game last year. In what their second season? I would say that's being pretty successful. If I am not mistaken, I thought I heard coach Jones say that his team was banged up right now. I did watch the game UMN and UND game on ESPN and it wasn't all that close. The announcers were pretty complimentary towards coach Jones.

Also, is UND status as a Mid Major something to look at, too? It's not like any of the schools in the BSC would be able make a run at the ACC or Big Ten Title.

I don't know if would say that UND's PP is struggling, they're ranked 13th on the PP and 19th of PK? They lead the nation in shorthanded goals. Of the NCHC teams, UND has the best PK nationally of the teams in the league. I do agree with you that UND has done pretty good and won't have to sweat a loss in the second half as much this season.

If I was to pick an MPV of the team during the first half I would pick the role players like Pattyn, Gaarder and Chyzyk. They do a lot of things that might go unnoticed. They kill penalties, take faceoffs at key moments.

Correct, most of the posts by the moniker "gfhockey" are of the drive by shooting variety, and are meant to inflame and piss people off. Nothing more, nothing less. I highly doubt they're hanging out with Arch Simonson, Hal Gershman, Doc Brown, et al. To suggest that a Spencer Penrose Trophy candidate would read their delusions of grandeur and take said suggestions are comical at best.
