I think it is a pipe dream by NDSU. I have been listening to Ed "The Blow Hard" Schultz all week 1440 a.m. and he posed the question to Athletic Director. "Why are you trying to make the move to Division one if most of the public doesn't want it?" It sounds like NDSUck is trying to ram rod this down the publics throat. At least that is the perception I am getting from listening to callers as they express their opinions on this matter. I mean really, the money to run a division one program is expensive. Add womens hockey to the mix and your talking about UND probably being in the red. It doesn't seem logical. NDSU can't even win a title in Division II and they want to move to Divison I. The next issue is, it appears that no-one wants to take them in a conference.

I think this is appropriate, who is the most valuable player for UND? I personally think it is a toss up between Bayda and Skarp. Skarp has 88 points in 3 season. Not too shabby eh?

I think Taffe is a cock ___. (I am sure you can figure out the rest) Personally I Taffe is bad with his stick and he is a ditry player, way worse than anyone that UND has. I must qualify this however, he is not quite as bad a demarchi but he does a lot of questionable things with his stick. The reason I say this is that I have watched a lot of UofM games this season. But dont' get me wrong, Taffe is a nice players that is a very good goal scorer, and an awesome player. But I also think he is a head case. Full of himself. I would be surprised if Taffe is with Minnesota next season. Taffe has pretty much accomplished everything he can at this level. Especially if UofM wins or goes pretty far in the NCAA... I am sure the pros are going to come with a nice contract asking probably in the neighbor hood of half a million at least if not more. Gee I wounder what decision I would make. You can come back and get your college education later. I always laugh at fans who try to talk players out of going. Like playing in the WCHA is some how better than the AHL, where do these guys get these ideas? I disagree with people that think Bochenski is some how a Hackniski, I think Bochenski was goaded into a lot of the stuff that happened against Minnesota. Nothing would be nicer than to see him knock in a few goals this weekend. Cannady is the real deal, I think some from UND have been a little too critical of him unfairly. For example, I thought the penatly he took by the bench was and should have been a matching minor or nothing. It was a busch league call. I think the hockey is going to be exciting this weekend, no prediction, I really wish I could see UND play next weekend but I think UND is a year away from being a great team...

Valley Dairy said they were supposed to get them in on Monday but I have yet to see them.

Blais said he is ok after his concussion I am sure he was a victim of the numbers game.

Too bad it took this long for UND to start clicking on Defense. The young guns on D were pounding the Denver players all weekend. I just hope can play like that this weekend. Andy Schnider is one tough SOB. Fuher looked great.

The Cannady line was awesome on Saturday, they were all over the ice and laid some good hits on the Pios... UND manhandled the Pios with an aggressive forecheck.

HENNESSY, Basically said that the refs are going to protect the Gophers and call everything against the Sioux for the fact tha the cake eaters are the Host team for the Final Five and the Frozen four so we are going to have to play smart... I would love to see them lose though. I am sure Blais is challenging Brandt to be a better goalie. People can complain about Blais all they want he is affective and thank God he is our coach. SOme of these players need to learn and play the system. When Brandt plays by the coaches system he will get more playing time. It is as easy as that... Brandt look pretty confident in the Warm ups though...

I really would question that. The younger Connelly is difenately (sp) a good player and if he wan't hurt would still be playing, I hardly doubt think that he won't be back next season. I doubt Faul is going to be given the axe. I questions rummors because a lot of times they aren't true, like the rube from SCCC that said Zack Parise was question his choice to come to UofM I hardly think so. You dont verbal then NLI and they say oh, I made a mistake. I dont see Fyling making as big of an impact as some people do, he is doing ok at the USHL but that is not the WCHA...

Oh well, nothing really seems more exciting than this match up, Sioux put themselves in a hole and could be two games and out. I really don't care what the outcome is, if UND put up a series effort. I would love to see Frank Mazacco choke on his microphone though... I know that UofM would rather play Duluth, MTU, UAA, MSU some one else. Although I think UND might not have a chance with Blais at the helm anything is possible. I am sure Scott_M and some of the other Siouxfans living in MPLS area would love to have this to shut their co-workers up. Tim Hennesay said Blaiser will pit the World against the Sioux. Also, look for UofM to get all the breaks because the league wants UofM to be at the final five.
