Some fans assume that UND's record is only good because we haven't played any games on the road. UND hasn't even really played any patsy yet either until the last weekend. Not to mention that UND man handled DU at their place and they aren't bad. I think that is flawed logic since some of the teams arenas we are going to go aren't exactly world beaters. MTU. MSU-M, UMD. We get DU at home, and C.C. at home as well as UAA and MTU. The tough series on the road are going to be Wisconsin and UofM. We should at least split both of these series.

I think it is funny that everyone seems to think that UND is going to come crashing down to earth in the second half but I don't see it happen. I think UND is way more talented of a team then they were last season. Here is a few reasons, three players Porter, Murray, Stafford, I think arugably the best recruting class in the country at the turn. I am going on record to say that this is not going to happen. UND will be a top two team. I beg anyone to tell who is going to be there instead.

Going back to the title to start this thread off I don't believe this series determines who the best team is. I think the logic is false since we are with out our three top players... I think this weekend is nothing more than just another two games series.

I like your thinking I say add them to the total. Maybe we put an * next to it. I think they are going to have to get going if they are going to score 100 goals. Of course UND gets to play MTU four times and UAA. So maybe they can do it.

Watched the Czech and Cancuck game on TSN this morning (NHL center ice) Canada is good by the way so it should shake out to be a USA and Canada final. That will be on TSN. During the first and Second period TSN (Canada's version of ESPN) announcers were all talking about how good Zach Parise and praising NJ for drafting Zach also it has been not that Zach is leading the tourney with 5 goals.

Here is the way I see it. SCSU is leading the league this far because they have played the most games and have the most points. I don't expect them to be in the top three by the end of the season. I don't think that they are a very good team either. UND lost becasue the breaks went SCCC way. Now SCCC is forunate that they get to play UND without their top three of four players in points. Having to play a league game minus 3/4 top players is rediculous in my mind. That being said I think that UND can still win at least one of the two games and I will be disappointed if they don't get some points this weekend. However, even if they lose both these games this weekend its really a non factor in the WCHA season because UND has played the least games in league play and only lost 2 points. SCCC has lost 8 points already and was swept by Denver this season. I will stand by my statement that UND minus these players is still a deeper team than SCCC. The edge might be in goaltending but if UND play defensively I think we can shut down SCCC.

Now that is old time hockey. Eddie Shore. I saw a IHL game in Las Vegas in 1996 where there was about 10 fights in the first two periods of the game. Both teams had about three lines left on the bench by the end of the game due to game misconducts. It was a lot of fun to watch. My first NHL game I ever watch live was the Minnesota North Stars and the Boston Bruins in the Gahden. 7 Fights in the first three minutes, it was beautiful. Anyone that says fighting isn't part of the game is just wrong.

I think UND can split if not get three points. UND is the better team even without those three players. However, the leaders of this team are going to have to step it up and hold each other accountable. No excuses. Every man takes it to the Hussies. I think UND is going to have to tighten up on Defense and stop the odd man rushes... Actually if UND does get swept UND needs not to panic. We are missing three of our four best guys. UND strenght of Schedule in the WCHA isn't that bad the rest of the way and I believe that UND will be sitting atop the WCHA at season's end... Just so everyone knows up front, I hate SCCC almost as much as I hate the Goofers...

Canada is playing Ukraine and it will be on 627 at 10:00 am on NHL center Ice. It seems that only game on are the ones with the Canadians. I hope next year the WJC games are on channel 23 here in the Forks.

God I hope your wrong. UND can not benfit from playing a tourney against a bunch of Canadian college teams. You cant even count the stats or wins in their team record.

If someone can get the answer to that question and let us all know this week when they post the coaches show on the board. I hope the Subway Holiday Classic Continues, its a good excuse to leave the house and drink beer with my buddies. I am hoping if they have it again they invite BSU again, it was lot of fun with those guys from Bemidji here last year.

Does anyone know if we are going to have a X-mas tourney next season? I suppose with the World Junior Tourney we may end up having a Thanksgiving tourney or have UND traveling to one somewhere else.

I agree with that statement. Its nice to see the ND in the fighting Sioux jerseys boys but I like the fact that we are getting some of the gritty guys from the prairies of western Canada. I'd like to see UND look into getting a goalie from B.C. with some size now. In refering to gritty its awesome having Mike P and what he brings to the table, tough, mean and gritty are the first things that come to mind...

Actually if you have NHL center ice it looks as if you can get some of the JR games on. Of course they are on at 0730 am in the morning. I noticed that Canadas game with Switzerland was on today.

Nice tip in by the Brown Defenseman into his own net, I wasn't impressed with Brown or Wayne State. What a brutal game to watch. Must have been like 300 people in the arena for most of the game. Findlay, yawn. I hope tomorrows game is more fun to watch. UND looked rusty and got it going the last half of the third period. I think if UND would have played one more period it would have been 6-1...

Does anyone know if NHL center ice has WJ tourney games on it? I heard they do sometimes.
