I was at the game and I thought the crowd was tame for a sporting event. Maybe you should attend a hockey game at the Ralph, thats when you are going to hear some vile comments. During the player introductions the students chant who he he sucks S#!T after each opposing player is announced. Heck the band doesn't even drown them out anymore. Heck I can do you one better, even more flithy than that is our natural WCHA hockey rivals at SCSU: SCSU's students AKA the Dog Pound are way more filthy/vile than anything you will hear at the Ralph or at the AL. They might be the worst in the league. History will tell you that this kind of stuff happens all of the time, its part of sports in the Uppermidwest. I have been to a few stadiums in the NCC and it seems to be the norm. I have been told by former basketball players that the USD fans are down right in your face if your playing them in Basketball. Personally I have been to five straight WCHA Final Fives and this kind of stuff happens at every event. Is some of this stuff classless and out of hand? Probably. However, maybe some people need to not be so thin skined, there are just words. UND is a state school in North Dakota not an ivy league school, oh yeah the althletic director at Yale threatened our radio guy at a hockey game that was marred by a huge fight, last season. There goes that theory. Also, I suggest maybe you should go attend a game at Fenway Park in Boston, I guarentee you will hear way more filth, bad, vile language than you heard in the AL. Finally, If it happens to be in the paper, its fair game and your going to see a sign about it, or your players are going to hear about it. The players flunking the drug test were fair game. You should have read the signs after fromer UofM coach Doug Woog was caught giving players illegal payments to a player in a stocking cap under a desk. While were are on the subject of of the game and sportsmanship, how about your team, you guys missed the NATIONAL ANTHEM. Whats up with that. And today finally I had the chance to talk to a few ladies from Alabama that were disgusted that the NCAA would have the gall to send their supperior team to North Dakota to play the game. They went on and on about how their team Univeristy of North Alabama was the better team and blah, blah, blah... All I could say was whatever... All I know is the Sioux won the game, the Lions are a hell of a team and my team is going to hopefully be the NCAA Division II football champ for a second time in two years. To top that all off my team is going to beat the UMD bulldogs in football. Life is good...

Dagies, I am not saying UofM is a S#!tty but I doubt they are going to win it all this season. Besides who cares if your wrong, which you probably won't be. Also, who cares what some Goofer fan thinks about you. We will stick up for you if your wrong.

Lets just say ditto in what you said. Here is why I think UofM isn't going to win it all again. First is attitude, no team the Gophers are going to play this season is going roll over and say oh your the mighty Gophers and your too good for us. Teams are going to try and lay some smack on the Gophers in the mouth, they just lost to UAA, yikes I wouldn't want to be in that locker room on Monday. If you think I am full of it just review the tape of the Sioux and Gophers series back in November UND checked the living tar out of the Pretty Boy Vanek Line. Vanek was so made by the end of the series that he was banging his stick on the ice. Tom meet Mike... Lastly UofM's Defense and Goaltending has not played very well. Losing P-Mart was huge, the kid was a stud on the powerplay, who is going to take his place Taylor, Atherton, Harrington, Stevens not even close. I feel one of the Gophers best Defensemen is sitting in the stands week after week and that Defensemen is Kennedy. When I watch the Goofers on MSC I want to jump through the television and strangle Wooger when he cuts down UND's goaltending. Hey Doug look are your teams goaltending they suck. Actually I am enjoying the Gophers season so far this year.

So back to the oppinion of the Phoenix and myself in our saying that Minnesota is not as good as everyone wants to say they are, many on the Fighting Sioux Sports web page have been dancing around this all fall. I would be very surprise if they actually make the playoffs. I am sure the WCHA is freaking out right now worrying that the Gophers aren't going to make the Final Five. Oh the humanity...

I will go on record and make a few predictions. 1st that UofM is not winning it a third straight time this season. 2nd that UMD's flat line starts this weekend.

I have been accused of a many things but never as a person hailing from Florence Alabama or in fact a UNA/UND fan. I did however, go to basic training at Fort McClellan Al and when I was at Fort Benning during the summer of 1992 11M school, and lastly I did eat at a Waffle House in Alabama. I hope that doesn't make me a UNA fan. Hell I have only been to Alabama twice and for a grand total of 5 months and during those five months I was not watching hockey, infact I was trying to push Alabama down to Florida as one of my Drill SGT put it.

I think the result of todays game pretty much makes these points mute as for which team should have had to travel. I think UND did a good job of silencing some of the clueless fans over on http://www.al.com That being said what an exciting game today, I think UND gutted out a character win.

Number 81 Travis Lueck mess up his shoulder and was favoring it a lot after the game, I am hoping he can play next week. His return to start the game was huge.

Redwing77, I think SCCC has been exposed. They will not be able to expect their goalie to give up 35-40 shots a night eventually Coole is not going to stop them all. Mark my words the swoon is upon SCCC. They are not a very deep team at all.

I'd rather the Sioux not have to play teams without their top guns. Add Stafford to that list too. We are going to be missing 3 of our top 4 players.

Time for the Bison fan to sober up, never will UND play second fiddle to NDSuck. Number one if your confused come up to Grand Forks and look at our sports facilities...

Actually, Tassles is having Ads on the radio again about their dancers. Maybe the boys from Duluth might want to go out to Thompson and check out the dancers. Also the Northern has a new air filterization system put in this last summer there so its not as smokey. Although I have no Idea how I know that...

I am going to go on record and say that our team minus Murray, Parise and possibly Stafford is still more talented than SCCC and should be able to take some points that weekend. Think about it. Massen (hurt most of the year and 35 point getter last season), Genoway, Bochenski, McMahan are better if not more than most of the players on SCCC. Our team will be fine and will be a great opportunity to grow as a team and face some adversity.

How about fact that Blais told him have a bad junior year and there wouldn't be a senior year.
