  1. Then I believe its ablut time for Pat Sweeny to find a new job in a less exciting market for him. For christ sake Pat your a sports personality, you do hockey broadcast (not very well but you do) I believe because of this Pat should be the first person calling Midco/Victory Sports. God forbid WDAZZZZ would cut into whatever is being re-broadcast on channel 8 in this time spot. Infact I also called Midco and gave them a piece of my mind. I told them that there is going to be a lot of upset people in Grand Forks if they don't get the games on TV. I also I told the Woman on the phone about what Puffy said on KFAN. The ladies response was well we don't have a signed deal with them. I said its free. I also told her people would even pay if it was a pay per view. I told her that this was a crucial time for them. I wanted to jump through the phone and slap her. I say if they drop the ball people that have midco should go to best buy and buy a Dish.

    High sticking

Last time I checked: the game last weekend in Sait Paul was pretty close to MPLS. I believe I am right. And if I was not mistaken Saint Paul is right across the river from where the Dirty Gophers play their home games. Yep it is. And I must have been dreaming but Gopher fans dwarfed all the other teams fans in numbers last weekend. I was there and it was loud and there was way too much maroon and gold. There were almost way too many Gopher fans to refer to final five as a neutral site, in fact anyone making the argument that the X-Cel energy center is a neutral site is also on crack and needs to stop smoking the pipe. That being said UND lost the game because of goaltending and our defensemen assiting on goals to the Goofer forwards, not the Mean Goofer fans making all that noise.

    High sticking

Because Vanek is incapable of playing in the defensive zone. I mean really did you guys see him, he was giving it the college try when UND had the puck in his own zone but he is a suck hole. Now granted he is a good player but for anyone to suggest he plays defense is on crack and needs to stop smoking the pipe...

    Dubay

I suppose that means that Midco will pick up the games or that FSSN will show the game on their channell 23...

    Matt Greene

Lets just hope that the Oilers let him play 2 more years. I hope with the impending lockout we get him at least next season. I just once want to see him drop the gloves and rock someone before he moves on.
  6. I agree with you on this one. UofW doesn't have a prolific offense and relies on goaltending way too much.
  7. Thats about 70 percent in favor of the name, pretty strong support for the name. I am sure there will be some that think 29 percent is enough of an out cry to change the name. Good for UofI.
  8. In my HMO that is modesty.

    Frozen Four

Dude, I don't think that fans predicts do anything for the teams MoJo or lack there of. In fact none of us have any bearing on the games what so ever. But what ever.

    ?Final Five?

No body from my group wanted to go except me. I was the slowest one to get up in the morning on Friday. Too much hair tonic. Yesh I am told old for this.

    Frozen Four

Thats because they don't want to see an all west final in Bean Town. I think UND's region is the weakest and they should have the least path of resistance to get to the Frozen Four. I can't believe they sent Michigan out east. I am sure Jerry York is thrilled about the prospect of playing Michigan if both teams advance past their first game.

    ?Final Five?

I would say that Weber is better than Briggs and, just my HMO. I wouldn't call Weber a mediocre goaltender he had flashes of briliance and did ok, now Hauser was mediocre. J.J. is Mediocre, hence, that is why Briggs is playing. I say get to Briggs early get the Gophers to press and they could give up opportunites in the defensive zone.
  13. I don't care what the score is as long as the Sioux win the game. Could be a shoot out.

    ?Final Five?

Yes I did, I had many beers tonight. Each one tasted great. I am still not convinced that Minnesota is going to the Frozen Four. Not with their goaltending. If tonights game proved anything it, it proved that UMD has peaked and has goaltending issues.

    PA & Dubay

I actually like listening to the two clowns even though Puffy knows nothing about hockey. Sure they are homers but its fun listening to them retract their predictions on Monday morning. Puffy actually gave kudos to UND a few times this season. I would recommend not taking them too seriously.
  16. I would be willing to put a wager on that one.

    ?Final Five?

I can't wait for tomorrow night when 15,000 Gopher fans are quite after the Sioux put a whooping on them for the Broadmor Trophy.
  18. I think UND should be able to get to Briggs early the kid was shaky early. Make him pay with constant pressure on net. Also get Prpich on Vanek and have him pound him for a while. Check, Check and check some more. Hit them hard.

    ?Final Five?

Also too many Goofer fans in our section.
  20. I am begging to wonder if Wooger didn't have a beer with Blaiser the night before the game and ask him who he was starting for the game. Because Wooger said on KFAN he would bet the fans in the bar a buck. I guess Wooger would have a pocket full of money if they actually bet.

    West Regional

IF I am not mistaken I thought Connor James won an award to being the All Academic player or something to that effect. The beer blured my vision...

    CC / UA Updates

Fournier looked lost/scared out there on the ice for the most part, Fournier won't go into the corner and get the puck, he did little to contribute to the offense either. I am betting that UND is not missing Chris at all, even if he was still playing I am not sure who he would be playing in front of if he was still on the team. Fournier leaving UND was a win, win situation.
