You really think we won 26 games last year because of two players? This is a team game.

Offensive talent doesn't matter if it doesn't show up.

It's obvious that one of these teams cares more about winning this game than the other. This is our mulligan. The season starts for real next week. They better show up.

The complaints center on the unforced errors and lack of energy/urgency.

If they do lose this game, I hope it royally pi$$es them off and lights a fire under them. But no, losing this game (even if it technically doesn't count) would not be acceptable at all.

This is why the latest contract extension was such a head scratcher. Yes, the facilities are getting better, but will that alone change this putrid road performance we have seen over and over?

So is our season over now? Or can we bounce back from this? We have the other two Dakota schools at home, so I think we can still be a playoff team.

The Power 4 already gets a lion's share of revenues. At some point, greed will destroy the very things that made the revenues possible in the first place.

What are they going to do about it?

If the Dakotas and Montanas want to move up, they'll have to do it together. Geography dictates this. This would give the Mon-Dak 6 some bargaining power. They could either form their own conference or secure a home in an existing conference looking to expand. This is the only way FBS will happen for the Mon-Dak 6.

Even if you can afford to move up and become a lower-level FBS program, the best you can hope for is a 7-4 record and a crappy Bowl game in mid-December on a weeknight with the stands half-full if you are lucky. The CFP is a long-shot. And even if you somehow qualified for that, you would run into upper-level FBS teams with way more depth and athleticism. It's fool's gold.

Until UND proves it can play well on the road, I wouldn't be shocked if they lost by two touchdowns.

Considering we won #8 without a "home" regional, I don't think flying somewhere is necessarily a huge disadvantage.

It would be awesome to have the Frozen Four in Madison Square Garden in New York.

This ought to help our coaches recruit quality student-athletes who get it done in the classroom and on the field/court/ice.

Last year's Manitoba team was the worst I have ever watched. They usually are much better than that.

We are playing "Toba" in early January, but I do agree with you. It will be exciting to see what Augustana has been able to put together.
