  1. That injury might have ended his career if it had happened three decades earlier. But even with modern medicine, I think it limited his long-term potential as an NFL quarterback. But an all-time bust? Nope, not even close. The Ryan Leafs of the world accomplished absolutely nothing. You cannot say that about Wentz.
  2. I agree with you; but that's what he does when he hits a bump in the road. UND asks him to play another year of juniors, he runs to Duluth. Now he can't keep his grades up. I take it back, forget the portal. He's headed to Major Juniors.
  3. Watch him enter the portal now.
  4. I have nothing against the Lions. Better them win the division than the Packers. We are just frustrated with the Vikings and their non-stop nonsense.
  5. UND comes off the holiday break (hopefully healthy and rested) to face the U.S. Under 18 team at REA on December 30th. Keys to the game: Get the backup goaltenders some game action, play everyone who doesn't get regular playing time and no injuries in a game that doesn't count.
  6. Agreed. I will refrain from commenting on this topic until Wednesday. Merry Christmas everyone (even my detractors).
  7. This is the perfect meme for UND football right now:
  8. This is SiouxSports.com, not Bisonville. If NDSU fans want their a$$es kissed, they are in the wrong place.
  9. I think a lot of the players who wanted to leave left last year.
  10. This is the outside-the-box thinking UND needs to embrace to be successful across the board in Division I.
  11. Any other brilliant insights you would like to share with us? Nope, didn't think so.
  12. Of course we should recruit locally and regionally first. But we also shouldn't ignore talent because they aren't midwesterners. Whatever the problems are in the program, they are obviously substantial and disturbing.
  13. I don't care for chirping, regardless of the circumstances. Just keep building the program into what it can and should be.
  14. I honestly don't care if our recruits are local or not. That applies to all our programs. I just want players who get it done on the court and in the classroom.
  15. But remember, these are "student-athletes" who are here to learn life lessons, so it doesn't matter if we win or lose (sarcasm).
  16. For Cripes Sake.
  17. You must be talking about Lakes Bison, right?
  18. Maintaining success is harder than obtaining it, you are correct on that point, so we'll have to watch SDSU to see if they can keep it going. But they have the facilities and a growing national reputation for winning. The thing to watch is if their new head coach can keep the train on the tracks and build on what was given to him.
  19. That's what people used to think about Miami (the one in Florida) when they were winning almost every game for a decade. And Colorado was garbage for decades after being good before Coach Prime came along to give them some hope. Nothing is "too big to fail". NDSU isn't exactly collapsing, but they have clearly been surpassed by SDSU (and even lost a player to them). And other programs are always working overtime to get better. The wheel never stops turning. Even Rome eventually fell.
  20. And all that money has done what for the mighty powerhouse that is ULM football? Stop making excuses for the FB program...Francis.
  21. And what does that have to do with this topic? ULM is garbage. What's next, losing recruits to Prairie View A&M?
  22. Louisiana-Monroe is a crap-hole program. I hope they enjoy losing because they are going to be doing a lot of it.
  23. A rare moment of sanity on this issue.
