I've been hearing that warning for years. College hockey is still here and puts more players into the NHL than ever.

They don't own these kids. And if they start treating them like that, some of them won't go to the CHL at all.

So having CHL players eligible may not be as big a benefit as some of us hoped?

Some of these kids went the CHL route because they couldn't meet the academic requirements of NCAA hockey.

Like I have said before, I am eager to move on from the Berry regime and I am very excited for what this team will look like in 2025-26. All this other garbage is a needless distraction.

And he was at UND 2 years. Jost left after one. I think one more year could have made a difference for Jost.

I also hope he gives it another shot someplace else. It just didn't work out here; that happens sometimes.

I honestly felt he may get buried in the minors and never get out. I was wrong. Congratulations Jackson Blake!

I thought the B1G ran the hockey world? Seriously though, I am sick of all the excuses and alibis as to why UND can't do this and can't do that. It becomes self-fulfilling prophecy. The swagger of Fighting Sioux (Hawk) hockey must be restored. That starts with not being shy about recruiting targets.

Agreed 1000% I still haven't forgotten about what happened in 1998.

WMU didn't have any problem building a national championship roster in the portal. We need to stop assuming that we can't reel in top talent. Like I said before, we need to get our swagger back as a program. It's time to reassert ourselves.

That new on-campus stadium is paying off.

I believe it will in the next several years.

I love Hutter's aggressiveness in building his team. He isn't playing around and that attitude will rub off on the current roster and attract players with a similar attitude.

Personally, I am giving Hutter, Schmidt and Jackson the benefit of the doubt, as all three of them have challenges they are working to overcome. Sather, on the other hand, has used up his grace period.
