  1. Based on his decisions, I don't think Chaves looks at wins and losses at all. And that is unacceptable. I do not want to be the Rutgers of the Midwest. And that is what we are becoming.
  2. Should our decisions be influenced by results or lack thereof? Because in Bill Chaves' athletic department, wins and losses simply do not matter. When I say that our athletic department is being run like a high school, that is what I am referring to.
  3. The overall level of mediocrity in our athletic department is simply unacceptable. The idea that Sather is untouchable is proof of that.
  4. Our last NCAA tournament win back in 2021. My, those were the days.
  5. My thinking as well.
  6. Two I think. But your point still stands.
  7. He wasn't kidding. I wonder if he thinks the Earth is flat too?
  8. Always loved Office Space.
  9. Go tell parents who have lost a child to suicide that it's not a real thing, if you have the guts (which I seriously doubt). And you should definitely leave it at that, since you have no idea what you are talking about.
  10. Maybe you think it's a joke, but it's not.
  11. Mental health is no joke. People should get help if they need it.
  12. Well that's encouraging (sarcasm).
  13. Speaking of the CFB, I think that warrants additional discipline from the NCHC.
  14. It does feel good. But let's remember it's against a team with a losing record that does stupid things like the CFB.
  15. That Saturday game vs. WMU really sucked the enthusiasm out of me for this season.
  16. Idk, some people here think Emery is a liability.
  17. And he's sat down. These lineup decisions have been somewhat baffling.
  18. It's obvious that TJ was the favorite of the coaching staff from the beginning, so I am not surprised.
  19. Stubborn? Sounds like a couple of other coaches on campus. One has been replaced, the other should be.
  20. So the P4 schools cannot opt out, but everyone below them can? Is that correct?
  21. I honestly cannot get excited about staying out of the Summit League cellar. There is no buzz with either basketball program right now. It's very depressing.
  22. We don't need to have the name to get back to playing that style again. I think we all know the change that must be made.
  23. Maybe the idea wouldn't work. I fully acknowledge that. My concern is that this athletic department seems chained to the old formula of season tickets, Champions Club donations and 50/50 raffle tickets. That worked just fine in Division 2. It is barely adequate for Division 1. NIL is a fluid and ever changing issue that will probably continue evolving (or devolving depending on your point of view). The collective should have been started much sooner, but I am very excited about it being in place. I don't necessarily put the NIL issue on the athletic department because they have very little control over it. Finding revenue streams to support the ever increasing cost of scholarships, FCOA and whatever else comes up in the coming years is my main concern for UND athletics.
  24. Change is hard for human beings in general. We are creatures of habit. But it is essential we change with changing times.
