If CC gets smoked by the Goofs, are you still going to sing their praises? If they manage to steal a game, then I may have to reevaluate.

This is what irritates me. A team that struggled vs. ranked teams comes into Grand Forks and sweeps UND on the road. Is this UND regressing to the mean that was established last year? I seriously hope not. I really hope it was sickness and/or fatigue and not a return to the dumpster fire that was 2022-2023.

Keep talking that team up like they are Penrose Cup contenders all you want, but the bottom line is you cannot get swept at home vs. a team that likely will finish in the lower half of the NCHC. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a virus going through the locker room, that would explain the low energy and bad faceoff numbers. Two bad losses shouldn't be explained away by comparing our opponents to the 1993 Maine Black Bears. I will be shocked if the Tigers have home ice for the first round.

Careful, you'll be accused of not showing them enough "respect".

Every team in this league is good enough to beat you if you stand around (even Miami). The Tigers are better than they have been, but they still are not on the level of a Denver or Western Michigan.

Then it better not be called again.

We have to respect every team in this league. But we cannot afford to get swept at home in league play. Do we want to sit at home and watch the playoffs instead of being in them?

We've beaten top 5 teams on the road and we can't do jack squat at home against a team that will be fighting for home ice? And I thought the NFL was unpredictable!

This reminds me of getting swept by Michigan Tech at home before the break in 2006.

Their record doesn't exactly scream elite.

I don't always agree with @gfhockey (and sometimes he p!$$es me off), but he does add a unique perspective to this forum. This place would be boring if everyone agreed with everyone else all the time.

If we are going to have a slump, I would rather have it now and not in March.

The PWR is going to change a lot from game to game this time of year. But in February and March, we had better be established in at least the top 10.

Those are two league points we flushed down the toilet. This league is too good to sleepwalk through games and expect to win. At least OT losses aren't as damaging as regulation losses. Need to come out firing tomorrow and get 3 points.
