Amen. Schools like UND and Mankato CANNOT accept being relegated to mid-major status in hockey. Too many people on this forum have thrown in the towel; I will not do that. President Armacost, please do not allow hockey (or any other sport) degrade into irrelevance. The tone needs to be set by your office or it won't matter what anyone else tries to do.

I agree with you. However, it is early in the portal vetting process and we don't know which players the coaches are pursuing. The sausage-making process never looks pretty, but the end product is far from being determined.

Maybe the coaching staff wants to keep quiet the portal players they are interested in? That has a certain logic to it.

Some disagreed with their choices because they backfired big time in 2022-23.

This x 100!!! Denver, Michigan and the Goofs are not immune to the impact of early departures, no team is. I know it's been a tough year all around for UND athletics, but we are not going away......as much as Rodentia would like it to happen.

You know what? If it motivates next years team, then I am all for it. The 2022-23 team lacked a sense of urgency all year. Anything that would light a fire under their collective arses is fine by me.

The tweet does prove that the rivalry is not dead. That is a good thing. Now we have to clean our own mess up so we can play them in the playoffs again.

I haven't brought up Holy Cross in years. And I didn't bring it up in my original post. Because it isn't relevant. What the tweet proves is that UND is not "just another school" to them. And that is good. A rivalry like this one, with all of the history and classic moments, should not be allowed to die because of realignment.
