Moorhead has had more than one head coach take them to the state tournament, so that comparison is not exactly apples to apples. Anyway, I don't want the thread to drift off topic, so this is my only reply to this question.

Moorhead has the worst luck at state.

Which is what has been happening here all season. It is what happens when a blue blood program has a down year.

CFP is also "one and done". Does that mean Saban would get an indefinitely long leash if Alabama went 4 to 5 years without a CFP title? I think we both know the answer to that question. Out fan base b!tches about the tournament format more than all the other fan bases put together. It's become an all-purpose alibi for our lack of national success recently. Like it or not, NCAA titles are what people remember. And it has been the standard around here since the 1980's. And I definitely don't want to relive the early 1990's ever again; that was a very dark period for this program.

In the 1990's, UND WBB was way more popular than the MBB team. Without dunking. I do agree with the checking comment.

If Women's Hockey allowed checking, I think people would become more interested.

I never heard much from him after he left. If he had been an All-Star talent, Foss/Schlossman would have talked about him more. Blais had no problem winning without him.

Wilson was a sophomore on that 1994-95 team. He signed after that season and didn't do much at the next level.

Blaiser's first season behind the bench. When he squeezed 18 wins out of that team, I knew we had hired the right person.

I am looking forward to when we are talking about what NCAA seed we will get and how far we can go instead of how good an NAIA conference is or isn't.
