  1. 2016. Montana St. was ranked #9 in the country. UND won 16-12. And yes, it was a blocked punt that won the game.
  2. In the Bubba era (2014 till now) UND has given up an average of 21.6 points per game at home. Only two times has a UND given up over 40 points at the Alerus Center and that was a 49-21 loss to Montana St in 2017 and a 47-44 win against South Dakota in 2016. This season we are allowing just over 27 points per game at home. We gave up 24 points last year in our loss to the Jacks in Brookings and only gave up 17 points when we beat them at home in the Spring season in 20/2. Can SDSU score 52 points gainst UND on Saturday? I guess anything is possible. But looking at the numbers, it is not very likely. But what do I know. I'm just a guy who looks at the numbers and the facts. Not a blue and yellow glasses wearing podcaster!
  3. So you are saying that there will be plenty of "cheering juice" consumed prior to the game?!!
  4. I would much rather drive 4 and a half hours to GF to attend a game at the Ralph then drive 45 minutes to see a game at Mariucci.
  5. This team is beatable. I've seen it happen before!!
  6. Don't care what the score is. 38-28, 56-55, 100-0, or 2-0. As long as UND wins we will all be happy!
  7. Not only are we 17-1 in our last 18 home games, we are 9-1 against ranked teams in that stretch. And we all know who that one loss was, and that was a 6 point game. This team just simply plays better at home. The numbers doin't lie. And I think the crowd really makes a difference. UND Football 360 tweeted about the 2001 Semifinal game against UC Davis and making the ALerus as loud as it was that game. Many of us remember that game and how the crowd directly affected UC Davis ability to run their offense. Tha Al can get rockin. Need that typ of energy this weekend!!
  8. 9. UND is 17-1 in it's last 18 home games. I don't think its an issue.

    Polls

Not meanig to bring in hockey into this discussion, but The latest USCHO poll has the Gophers at #1. Whichs means UND plays the #1 team in the country in both football and hockey!! Pretty insane. I would doubt that happens too often in college sports, a school playing the #1 team in multiple sports the same weekend!!
  11. Screen passes. Lots of them. Lots of movement. Different sets. Never run the same on twice in a row. Throw in Quincey in there. Keep them guessing all day.
  12. Always fun to listen to Tim try to figure out what’s going on in OT!
  13. Side note: A fun drinking game would be to drink every time Kelly Howe says "Guys".
  14. Here is a map of the current FBS schools. Seems like there is just one area of the country without an FBS teams. Hmmmm. I wonder if there are any schools in that area that could fill the gap!!
  15. Why? Football game is at 3:00. Hockey is at 7:00. You really think there are going to be thousands of fans headed to Minneapolis for $75 tickets to watch hockey that would liukely be at the football game? The games aren't even sold out. Of the UND fans that will be there, I would say at least over half live in the Twin Cities area. If the Alerus isn't packed Saturday it certainly won't be because of of the hockey games against the Gophers that weekend.
  16. In related news.....picked to finish last in the Summit. Prove the doubters wrong. https://fightinghawks.com/news/2022/10/11/mens-basketball-north-dakota-picked-10th-in-summit-league-preseason-poll.aspx
  17. If you ask me, that design on the side of the shorts looks kind of feather like.
  18. Brining Quincey in on short yardage situations has really become a great option. We all know he has the ablility to pick up the first down and most of the time he does it. But pputting on film plays like we saw on Saturday where he flips it to a RB really throws a wrinkle into defending it. If he can read what the defense is doing, hewe canbe very seccessful in these type of game situations. Throw in a pass option when he is in and the D won't know what to expect.
  19. Busch Light "Dirty 30", $20 bucks in the parking lot. Problem solved!!
