I'm good with Jody Norstedt doing UND's hockey broadcasts.  Hope they find a good color man.  I've noticed especially in the last year that Jake Brandt's commentary has really elevated (and my only exposure to hockey is through being a lifelong UND fan).  Thanks, Jake.  I understand that Jake from State Farm is too busy to have a side gig.

I think Jody does a fine job and if they go with hin full time, which I hope they do..... I think he will get better and better. He obviously puts in alot of work and is a pro.

For color, lots of options I thinknthey should sprinkle in a few options throughout the year a weekend here and there for a few

Personally I think Gage Ausmus would do a good job and be very interesting. He seems comfortable on mic through his podcasts...

Jordan Schmaltz for a weekend would be fun...

Move it around and connect with differtent eras of Sioux tradions and or ND hockey people.

Jody and Dean Wilson seemed to work well for Midco for the winter classic high school coverage.

Can use that to connect with different areas as well, grab a Roseau/warroad alum for a weekend.

Grab a western Canada guy for the weekend theyvget carried on TSN.

    Lots of possibilities

    Thanks Jake!
Guessing Heinert will get called away sooner rather than later too, so we might be looking at a couple new announcers pretty soon.

His first season in the booth was a national title season.  Might as well make his last season a title season too.
Would be a good bookend.  :)

There's been some snoozers, some losers, and downright legends in the box, Jake worked his way into a category of his own.

I liked him think that's its something he can pop in and out of over the years as well.

    Legend in the making.

Hopefully Jaksen's decommitt doesn't cost us a chance at his younger bro Jace. He is the better prospect & only a freshman in HS.

    There's always another Panzer... :D

Seriously like 3 or 4 more

You really think weather is the only thing they are preparing for?  This really says a lot about the value of your opinions.

China ain't invading on the beaches bud.

But that's 100% the message and optics they are presenting, not me.

Why should we just roll over and accept the waste and payoffs ??

Cause we benefit from this one....

The North Dakota way as usual, we hate the big government waste and the evil propaganda and protest with one hand and keep the other squarely on the bag-O-cash being shillled out to the other.

The USAF has always had an alternate base plan.
You move the assets away from weather that may impede flight operations.

The former GFAFB B-52s and B-1s would "fly south" during blizzards.

So there's never been a plan for hurricanes before????

    Ever ??

In the history of the Air Force....

    dooooohkay

No this is to create more and more of a basis for perpetuation of the "needs" to respond to  (Dr Evil air quotes) increased threats from the effects of global climate change to national security (Dr Evil air quotes)

And it's happening across the DOD and it's a complete grift on the American taxpayer

You think preparing for extreme weather events is "grift"? Hurricanes happen on the gulf coast all the time. You think flood insurance is a "grift" too? :silly:

    Yes it is.

    This caught my eye:

Grand Forks AFB has also been selected for a $246 million upgrade to its existing facilities to house and maintain fifth-generation fighter jets like the F-22 and F-35.

While the 319th does not fly combat aircraft, the air base is set to house aircraft evacuated from other air bases during extreme weather events, particularly from hurricane-prone areas on the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, so those units can continue to operate.

    ...

When those facilities aren’t being used for evacuation, the air base will support long-range combat training exercises called Agile Combat Employment.

So basically its taxpayer money just pissed directly into the wind to appease the global climate change grift.
