  1. He looked shaky, and slow on picking up the puck, especially laterally movements looked a bit disjointed. He got real lucky on a couple. I'd say he just needs to get comfortable, I'm sure he'll get a chance in some more games here coming up.
  2. I can feel it......tonight. Hold on.
  3. I'm really hoping that Midco airs the banner raising..... All signs point to the ceremony at 6:45 but Midco shows coverage starting at 7 on the program guide.
  4. I'm gonna drink it just for the ability to say I literally piss excellence
  5. That's less than GFHockey's bar tab during 1st intermission.
  6. At the fan fest all the players were awesome, some where getting a workout in, hot in those sweaters. Berry was awesome, It was neat to see the new boards and dasher system up close, I might even have jumped into the boards and glass a bit to see the difference......yeah that was me. Im also going for surgery tomorrow after Brock shook my hand.....all bones crushed, its like a rump roast with fingers powered by hydrolics .....wow. Only thing that was getting on nerves and the players held their cool, but when people were lined up for player autographs and some obnoxious fat assed slob in a Vikings visor would just waddle up and budge the lines and push his kid in front of other small kids, not cool dude. You know who you are. There's room in the gopher fan base for your type. One player I watched signed when this happened , but looked like he wanted to check the guy into the Betty. Those are the type of people that use kids for autographs and sell it on eBay the next day. Kudos to midco for sponsoring it.
  7. Interested in the turn out today.....with tickets being given away as much as pissible.....swag.....promotions....free tshirts.....and even giving away $5000....can They get the kids into building? Gottsay.....its too damn nice a day to spend it in glorified warehouse with turf.
  8. They just shut up and took my money.
  9. 1000xs YES. Exactly.
  10. And Petey for the win.
  11. Talk about hamstringing your athletics programs recruiting.... Coach: how about playing ( ball, hockey,...etc) up here in B-E-A-Utiful Alaska. Recruit: ..wait arent they thinking about cutting all athletics up there? Coach:....well er ...um.....not really, but maybe, it was discussed as just an option, maybe the #1 option...but im.... Coach: hello......hello.....hello......(dialtone)
  12. I had similar thoughts. Maybe see them picking a Gwoz somewhere on that bench....... Or a Berry.
  13. For once.......He's not wrong, so to say.
  14. Subject: Hockey St. Paul > Minneapolis. #Justthefacts.org.net
  15. I hate the new name and logo with the passionate of 1000 sons ..... but what you've said makes about as much sense as two monkeys playing banjo sandwiches underwater. And by all means if you have so much integrity about walking away from the program, don't let the door hit ya where the good lord spit ya on the way outta here too.
  16. I think Kristo has earned a call up, a shot at NHL ice but I don't see him sticking as a full time NHLer. Like Grimaldi he needs to find that situation where he can slot into that second line. He doesn't have 1st line talent, He lacks the 2 way play and drive it seems to gain the versatility of the other roles that 3rd and 4th lines an play....i.e. Vandeveldes, Porters, Malones of the world, in order to get a toe hold on a big club. Europe may very well be in his future, but you never know, this Vegas thing will create jobs and openings so sticking around the American League this year should be a priority for guys like him.
  17. Danny Kristo stays in the Blues org. This has got to be his year to get himself some NHL games...... Group 6 UFA Danny Kristo has re-signed with #STLBlues: Danny Kristo 1 yr two-way @ $575,000 cap hit $175,000 AHL *From Generalfanager.com
  18. Not sure it's out there yet but Jost will wear # 17 for the Sioux this year.
  19. Minnesota isn't exactly a place known for spending money wisely.
  20. San Jose resigned Aaron Dell 2yr 2way. 2016/17 575,000/175,000 2017/18 675,000/175,000 Dell looks like he is going to get a shot at NHL backup. He's earned it.
  21. If Tomek is around and Thome makes it here... When was the last time UND had 2 drafted goalies at the same time.
  22. Strike that Matt Greene news..... Now saying he was put on waivers..but will NOT be bought out.
  23. Matt Greene bought out by LA Kings
  24. FREE AGENCY PREDICTIONS? UFA: Matt Frattin. - Europe?? Corbin Knight - AHL? Faceoffs... Andrew MacWilliam - ?? No idea Brad Malone - NHL? Depth Chris Porter - NHL? 4th line depth Danny Kristo - AHL He's earned at least a shot at a few NHL games ibthink Aaron Dell - AHL...I thought he'd get a chance to backup in SJ next yr.
  25. Yes I've heard his work, I don't think the hockey knowledge is there at all. He sounds very much like a SCSU student run broadcaster. Basketball is a much much easier sport to call I think there are a lot more qualified options in the area.....willing to work for what midco is willing to pay........that may cut that list down by alot! I think Hammer was a betterPxP guy than this guy, and that's difficult to admit. The basic knowledge of the program the history, the experience....it's just not there in any way such as guys like Hennessey, Sweeney, Looker, or almost anybody who's actually been around the program. The insight, and experiences are what add depth and color to a broadcast, to be able to draw out and paint the experience to the fans, this guy.....very clinical and bland run of the mill, not what we should have as the voice painting the story of excellence and grandeur for the greatest college hockey program in the country. Imho this was a budget hire plain and simple. They could do better.
