I really want to see Penn state and Ohio state lose today. I can see UMtc "fall on the sword"......throw the game....whatever you want to call it .... In order to get another B1G team into the tourney ....the could get 4 in if they play play it right...I think. Instead of just the 1. It has to be embarrassing to potentially be getting less teams in than the ACHA.

The ONLY way that game is close is because of the calls. Sioux seemed to dominate. Cam was off a bit it seemed but everyone played better. The only thing that was close was that Jost was very close to scoring 5.

There have been a few Sioux through the years who taken the dive.....Rocco was apt to go down. Hennessy was just talking about that on his podcast....I guess the team was merciless on him when he did.

A friend of mine made a good observation last night..... When they roll around and cover their FACE with their gloves.....it's an act. If their face was hurting they would get the mask off and attend to the face. The gloves in front off face is to hide the smirk, smile, terrible acting expression.

There is nothing I hate worse than the dive. I hate it. I despise those teams that actually use it as stategery. Last night SCSU obviously was predetermined to employ it throughout their game. I think it HAS to be a point of emphasis going forward and either 1 of 2 things need to happen. FIRST......CALL THE DIVE!!!! If that means the off ice official can call down and let the Ice Crew know that there wasn't a sniper in the rafters, or that the player thrashing around on the ice....covering his face to hide the laughing smirk, wasn't decapitated, then do it Call it 2 ways: #1 If the dive was just a straight fall to make it look like an illegal act happened. The officials should be able to negate the penalty call and just give the 2 mins for diving ....or better yet make the dive a double minor. #2 If the player was guilty of an infraction. Give the penalty. But the embellishment after make it a 5. Or at least a double as well.... ......like in the UND/SCSU playoff game last night. Boeser was guilty of being in the crease and contacting the goalie. 2 min. Interference absolutely. But when Lee Harvey hit the clown goalie with a .50 cal snipe from the catwalk, the call needs to be a double minor or even a 5 for embellishment. This would eliminate diving from the game. Period.

In nchc playoffs the officials can review a penalty call or non call to see if it was a major. That's what they were doing. They can't uncalled the 2 min penalty or call a 2 mins penalty if there was no call but can determine if it deserved a 5. This was a good thing they could review it last night because replay clearly showed it was NOT a major. Worked in UNDs favor. If those bumble headed nitwits had only what they think they saw in live action and the theatrical performance of the soccer star assclown on the ice, I know they would have fallen for it and delivered the 5 and game.
