my little boy (5 years old) made a video playing knee hockey for "mr. Oshie" my little guy is showing his moves in a Fighting Sioux jersey...anybody know anyway that I can send it to Osh...I don't ask for anything, I just think its cool- especially since we were in Minny and now live in Seattle (Tj's old stomping grounds).  If you know how I can get it to him, please pm me...I am not a weirdo fan, I have personal relationships from way back with a few guys who made it to the show.

    Twitter @TJOshie77 .....

Wait a bit he's going to OT in Philly with Dave right now.

On that most recent FSU PP, there was a Ferris player right on the doorstep who received the puck once or twice that had grade A looks but instead opted to continue passing the puck along. Could've been 4-2 right now if they would just actually shoot the puck on net.

Yeah those were great looks....should have buried both

UND played the way a top seed should at home vs. an inferior opponent.

With such a large disparity in SOG early you knew it was not a matter of if, but when.

Good crowd atmosphere too considering this QF series has been light on attendance in the past.  There were some residual student attendees and that added to the feel.  10,800 is impressive and I can only assume some non-regulars picked up some tickets.  Everyone wants to see this team play because they could accomplish memorable things over the next month.

Yep, I brought my kids to they could watch these players while they could.....edge of their seats and had a blast!

Watching these guys on TV is one thing but the squality of the footwork, puck handling and hustle had my mite aged sons eyes wide all night.

He was looking at he game like I remember watching in 87 with my dad.

  4. Kinda interesting I just got a call from the Big Ten ticket office trying to sell ticket packages to the Big Ten championships

when he asked how it was going today I said Well not that great for the Big Ten"

he laughed and said " so you probably pretty much not interested in a ticket package?"

Yeah you got that right buddy.

ND State Tournament permanent location proposal:

    Hockey - Grand Forks

    Football - Fargo

    Class A Basketball - Bismarck

    Class B Basketball - Minot

Every major city gets a major sport state championship.  Everyone is happy.

"The B" should always be in Bismarck.

Thats as ingrained in North Dakota DNA as wheat, potatoes, and complaining.

  6. Now Frattin loaned by Ottawa....to the Marlies.

So Ottowa basically agrees to pay him for the rest of the year, but doesn't want him, sometimes much they will pay him to play against their AHL team.....

To bad fo Matt but it looks as if this may closers to the end then a new beginning.

  7. With the composite materials of today's sticks, not sure many try to heat up the blade to curve it anymore, it can be done but it's not like the olden days ("my youth") in which you could grab dad's blowtorch and work that curve into the shape of the girlfriends posterier.

Patterns have to be formed in "somewhat" bulk so it's doubtfull that a manufacturer would retool for a stick that wouldn't conform to stanndards. It can be done but I don't trust heating the lamination of modern sticks I think it weakens them greatly....plus too expensive to experiment with

Anyone else as baffled as I am about Tomek not playing a game yet?

Not really, sometimes it just doesn't heal like they'd like after surgery,  sometimes takes longer, The advanced recovery protocol doesn't recommend return to sport for 6 to 9 month's. .....most have beaten that by a bit and come back, sometimes it takes longer.

  9. Goon, With all due respect you lose credibility by talking of Hammers hockey knowledge.

I'm not being snarky, it's just the facts.

We've all heard the guy flub the calls time and time again, the mangling of names, the misunderstanding of the plays, the slow plodding narration as if he's reading a kindergarten book to slow cats, that's not imagination, that's not being mean, that's just the truth of what we all have seen.

I'm very glad to see him move along.
