1) It's not just about growing the sport but also growing the visibility of the program for recruiting.
2) Outdoor games are way overdone....and the college only outdoor game is hopefully a thing of the past.....
However UND playing in an outdoor game as part of a NHL Winter Classic event???? Now it's a party.
3) Toronto. Marquee match up with a BU or BC or an (at some point in future improved Michigan).. or a 4 team weekend 2 NCHC 2 B1G or Hockey East
FRI UND vs BU BC vs UMTC
SAT UND vs BC. UMTC vs BU
4) One step further ..Montreal....oh geeze Sioux fans loose in the clubs of Montreal could be ......uffda.

Gophers down 3 at home in a game against a lesser ranked team they have to beat....especially after losing to them the night before....
I'm kinda shocked they only got the 6 Pover plays....

Many called for Cam to be replaced but very few goals were his fault.
He didn't lose us games.
Tonight I saw a goalie let in 3 that should have been stopped.
Still they have to score.

I've already posted that I am pleasantly surprised by Alex.
He has done a decent job and seems to has made an effort to learn the game. Gets lost in the process at times and Jake can ramble.....but who doesn't
Overall I think he's very much been a monumental improvement on the Fargo Failure.......and really that wain't a stretch.
Yes I'd take Sweeney back in a heartbeat. The stories and knowledge of the history of the program was something we appreciated from Pat. But hes not coming back, That's not going to happen.
So as Ive said I owed Alex an apology as I think he is doing a very good job, better than I thought he could, calling Fighting Hawks hockey....
Sweeneys Legend lives in the past and former glory and Tradition of Excellence that is Fighting Sioux Hockey, and always will.

It's not the bad Ice.
It's not the diving from Greg Luganis U.
It's not the goalie.
It's the god awefull effort generated by the players on the ice and the mental state of a team in preparing for games.

Wow That Battle of the hijacked "M" in Minnesota sure did pack the house.

In the real conversation of Jost, Yes there is a chance he signs as soon as UND season is over.....my OPINION is that is a 80% chance. Aves may intices him to sign by giving him games yet this year.....although they do not want to burn a year by doing it.
Jost is a special player. In my OPINION he is NOT really NHL ready especially physicality wise, and a second year of building his man body in the gym will help him.
He may be ready for the AHL andmaybe a year there will be what he needs.
Jost will be an NHL force. But I really believe being flung into a bad bad team in Colorado will not do him or Colorado any good in 16-17 or 17-18.
Play 1 more year at UND...Aves can add more draft picks and have is ELC start in 18-19.
And who doesn't want to win back to back NCAA titles. #Hang10dude
