(Skills? 18-20 year olds aren't developing skills anymore. )  Will respectfully, wholeheartedly, adamantly, disagree. As will every college, junior, and pro coach, scout, and executive. Can absolutely expect that skills are being unlocked and developed at that age.

One thing i find interesting. The letter that was released stated he was the LONE finalist.... not that the job was offered or accepted. Also does it state anywhere the actual words .... "I resign" ... dont recall that. Although an actual resignation letter may not have been released.

yeah.... might wanna read the story that just broke. Leadership is something very different than what he just lobbed on his way out. Any supporters he had should be shuffling boxes into his office as we speak.

A leader has to make tough and unpopular decisions. A good leader can communicate effectively why those decisions need to be made and why the organization will benefit. The manner in which kennedy opperated included some tough decisions that were handled with terrible competency, repeatedly arrogant posturing and was dickishly ambivalent to the optics of public perception. Its quite ridiculous to lament the loss of someone who leads in this fashion, and worse to feel that a quality individual in the position isnt possible. The flagship institution of the State of North Dakota should expect a competant gracefull leader who can make and explain tough positions.

As good of news as I think this is... I shudder to think how the University and SBHE will manage to discover an exponentially worse option. No doubt the committee has already been formed.

This is one of those rare years when the Wild are actually out of contention BEFORE the Twins.
