not as simple as just changing alignment. UND needs better players, that’s the bottom line. Not only a recruiting issue, but also a development issue.

There’s always a couple NFL clubs who focus on off-season players basically running in pajamas rather than the actual in-game footage… same goes for recruiting high school athletes …

I would say it’s a combination of the first two (coaching and support/finances). All successful programs start out not having success and have to start somewhere. You’re right- UND is a 3rd place program right now, but will UND do what is necessary to get over the hump? Are we content with 3rd place? Do we [UND and its supporters] want a 1st place championship caliber football program or not?

Despite my gripes, the guys themselves getting hired are great people. They’re all great guys to sit down and have a beer with. But, at what point does winning and escalating the program become more important than community relations?

The next-up position coach hire is a real doozy. Don’t worry, no surprises. More inbreeding awaits.

Wrong. 55% winning percentage not good enough. But I do hope everyone does well and UND football finally ascends after the long wait.

And just to be clear, this message board is the furthest thing from a court room. There’s plenty of evidence to go around, but you really have to be quite ignorant (and lazy) to not acknowledge it *unless* we apparently proceed with a deposition and present several exhibits for your liking. Again, I also choose to not answer your several questions for that reason (and because it doesn’t have to be all spilled out on this medium); not because you raised questions for which I have no answers. Again, let’s see what happens. UND football is up against it with funding issues, so that is a challenge, but I also don’t agree with their current leadership and hiring processes. That could be done better, regardless of budget.

Let’s see what happens.
