Not sure it’s worth it, but perhaps …

UND football has become polarized amongst its biggest fans (people on a frickin’ UND message board in March!) … that’s not a good thing. We have blind faith (ignorance) in one corner and apathy in the other. UND going the way of the hockey stick and Chaves playing along has partially contributed to this, but having an incredibly boring average meat and potatoes head coach for nearly a decade doesn’t help either.

Guy got a chance to play a lot of games for UND. Good for him.

I mean, they can give him more than 5 carries per game, but that doesn’t mean he’s a top MVFC back. Let’s see if miracles do indeed happen and he develops into Goliath …

I’d just prefer UND wins, but whatever floats your boat and peaks your interest I guess…

let’s not ignore the ball carrier position because the offensive line is the most important unit to the run game … Beyond Smith, the RB room is subpar right now. Red has the next most talent, but he’s split out and not a pure RB. he definitely needs to get the ball a ton though. need two transfers, not just one. Ziebarth has some potential, but not likely to be more than a 5 carry/game back for his career.

Portal helps the most in the fall/winter. By this summer, the portal will be dry. That’s my point. Those gems you speak of aren’t likely to be found by UND. UND S&C is going to actually have to do their job and develop what they’ve got to work with. The ol’ portal will come in handy again for UND come fall/winter 2023. Hopefully the transfer players they got on roster this spring from UNM, NIU, USD, etc will work out for UND this fall.

No. Not proposing my comments make a difference at all. Just providing my opinion as I see it. If folks on this message board want to be make a difference they need to donate large sums of cash to UND football. Bottom line with all this coach turnover and 0.500 football is inadequate funding.

It is. and unsure Joel Schwenzfeier can fix it (or will want to fix it). He himself comes from the lineage of unnecessarily complex safety calls here at UND

Bigger recruits go to NDSU and SDSU, that’s why. And S&C for UND football is underwhelming

You ain’t gonna find “good” LBs and a safety over the summer. They’ve already got a home for the fall.

not as simple as just changing alignment. UND needs better players, that’s the bottom line. Not only a recruiting issue, but also a development issue.

There’s always a couple NFL clubs who focus on off-season players basically running in pajamas rather than the actual in-game footage… same goes for recruiting high school athletes …

Will consistently happen while sharing the conference with the boneheads of Fargo (ag school) … need to start beating those suckers
