2-2, as I said from day 1, is most likely, and it’s not good enough. It basically is a microcosm of the same ol’ same ol’. Means UND with their current setup continues to falter in big games. Hope I’m wrong. Hope UND beats SDSU. I’ll be there supporting in-person, per usual. At some point, got to just get it done. If it ain’t working, though, can’t keep trying the same thing over and over; gotta try something different.

You’re right, Boise is a decent FCS team basically. You know what’s better than collecting a 650k check? Collecting a 650k check and winning.

Agree. Boise State nothing too special. They turned the ball over, and then UND would just give it right back. Missed opportunities for picks by UND; gotta make big plays in big games to take the next step. UND didn’t execute (again) and another golden opportunity missed by this program / coaching staff on national TV. Onto South Dakota State …

You do realize that setting expectations like you are will never allow UND to take the next step, right? What did NDSU and SDSU do the last time they played Mountain West opponents? You do realize that NDSU and SDSU are in UND’s conference; they are the benchmark. Also, you can’t just turn on and off your team like a light-switch. Doesn’t work that way. The way you play against FBS correlates to how you play vs the top of the FCS.

I agree, I agree. I certainly “hope” for this also, but it just seems so distant at this point. We will see.

Sort of a combination of it all. Offense was sloppy in all areas, and the turnovers really hurt (as per usual).

Based on predictions(and actual results), UND still on track for 8-3. That’s the benchmark, whether we like it or not. I of course would like 10-1 or 9-2, but probability-wise won’t happen.

Last year when UND lost to Nebraska, it was “but hey guys, we just lost to a Big 10 team in front of 90,000 fans, it’ll be okay”. Next game Nebraska ends up firing their coach … we have several fairies “supporting” UND football right now. Glad delusions run high in some though, I guess, to keep some “positive” comments coming.

To be fair, what did we expect when Chaves extended a 5-6 coaching staff? We have had our heads in the clouds. You can wish in one hand and sh*t in the other, and see which one fills up first …

Agreed. Snaps were off all game. Also, UND should’ve committed to the run more to slow down the pass rush. Not sure there was a single run called on 2nd and medium the entire game ..

Sad truth. It’s a broken culture; it can be fixed, but will take years … and forceful uncomfortable demands. Unfortunately, North Dakotans are some of the worst at handling “uncomfortable”. Doesn’t help athletic department is headed by hockey goons. Many forget that UND funds hockey, not hockey funds UND…

UND needed to play a clean game to pull off the upset. They came out and played sloppy, especially on offense. As such, you get what we got. A pretty decidable (and beyond disappointing) loss. On to South Dakota State, but I’m sensing rinse and repeat cycle with this coaching staff. We will see if the bye week brings forth some improvement for a big game against the FCS #1 team.

You’re right, funding a kelly green skin for one S&S tractor would be absolutely impossible. Better just move on. But really, have you ever thought about having an open-mind? Innovation and proactive change is really that poisonous? I’ll answer: it isn’t. FYI: new UND football trailer is used for ALL games, even ones in Grand Forks. It’s not “odd times”. I think green or black would be nice.
