I’ll be honest, I expect a UND/NDSU rematch this postseason and worry history (1995) may repeat itself, but we’ll see.

Fargo being the epicenter of ND does not mean NDSU is the standard of higher education or collegiate athletics in the state; certainly doesn’t mean it is the flagship. There are countless examples around the country where the largest metropolitan center of the state is not home to the most thriving university and/or collegiate athletic department in the state.

I’m hoping this game doesn’t look like anything from 2022. I’m hoping the team is riding momentum and has graduated beyond that to the next tier. But, don’t get me wrong, this will be a hard fought game and will be interesting to see who does what in the 4th quarter.

The challenge is to replicate the energy and belief from last Saturday to every Saturday. Figure out how to do that, and then championships become a real possibility.

Highlights of last home game for UNI on 9/30/23 UNI with good looking offense. QB (Theo Day, transfer from Michigan State) is good, made a lot of plays against UND in 2022. UND defense is going to have to be ready to go in this one.

When this inevitably happens, UND is going to be forced to match and go up too or else risk repeating what happened from 2003-2023. With that, I find it hilarious that a school with as many financial and enrollment issues right now as NDSU can still have their sights on paying out millions to go up a division in football. Then again, many will tell you, NDSU is more a football institution than an institution of higher education. Pathetic.

For what it’s worth, I thought the SDSU tailgating scene in Brookings this year for UND game was very mediocre. Just my opinion. They have a very very good team though.

No question, UND was the more physical team. If UND can replicate that week in and week out, watch out; but it won’t be easy. Power of belief goes a long way. Dale Lennon speaking to team on Friday night before the game just topped everything off perfectly.

Looks pretty legit to me, stripes would be reversed, but it’s a very solid look.

This was put in place for FBS schools before this season, but it was just recently clarified now to also apply to the FCS playoffs.

Because there’s more people it’s better? That’s an unfair take. I think UND tailgate does a solid job and obviously the UND/NDSU tailgate this past Saturday was superb because of the hype around the game. Need to keep growing it, and if UND keeps putting together big wins, it will. I agree UND athletic department and Alerus needs to do their part and keep enhancing the details; more vendors, more portable restrooms. Bud light station was neat. But it all comes down to hype around the team as it trickles down to the tailgate.

Spot on. Simple is best. Have pants that match the helmet. Bubba’s presser today confirmed need permission to use interlocking ND logo, so that likely won’t continue, but the silver helmet with silver pants featuring matching green and white stripes and then Kelly green home jerseys and white road jerseys would be an awesome start.

Think packers/raiders - simple is better. keep the silver helmets, they are awesome, and signify the und beatdown the first time they were worn i would vote for clean throwback green (home) and clean white (road) jerseys with silver pants that have corresponding white/green striping to helmet. Would be spot on, in my opinion.

Bingo. Some major coaching is needed this week to keep the boys mentally engaged.

Tough game, but offensive line play travels. Have to pound the rock and play with same intensity and mental fortitude as previous game! Go Hawks!
