  1. Good win. How do the Big Sky standings look now?
  2. Okay, so the proposal is green jerseys and pants along with new helmets, either white or black? Or simply new green jerseys? Obviously the entire new uniform combo would be preferable. Would give us: Pants: Green, White, and Black Jersey: Green, White, and Black Helmet: Green, and Black or White Certainly would be appealing to recruits and fans!
  3. This new coaching staff brings a lot of enthusiasm and experience that the previous regime was missing. I've also heard it sits well with coaches and recruits. This weekend is big for the program, considering the amount of talented recruits visiting. By Sunday, there should be an impressive rate of commitments flying in! Go Sioux!
  4. North Dakota State is the biggest rival, but they're in a different conference so we don't play them anymore in the regular season. Hopefully that will change for this years incoming class down the road. In conference, the rivals would technically be Montana and Montana State I suppose.
  5. Long line of former LB greats but that position has been lacking for the last couple seasons. Coach Bubba is already starting to improve that position though, and like Geaux_Sioux said, there are good freshmen on the roster.
  6. I'd like to think this will get done. Unlike the past two seasons, less helmets and no pants need to be purchased, just jerseys. Let's get that Kelley Green back!
  7. Considering the new (and impressive I might add) makeup of UND's coaching staff, an interesting OOC game I'd like to see get scheduled would be a home and home with Southern Illinois. Wonder if the future schedules have some open dates to work with?
  8. That's incorrect. I said there would be a "JV" division in hockey if it were nationally popular; I didn't say that UND would be in that division. Given UND's hockey facilities, alumni, and tradition, they have and will always be a top 5 hockey program nationally. Look at Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota - all are big Big 10 schools yet they are all lesser or equal to UND's hockey program. Size and/or popularity can not negatively affect UND's hockey program, so get use to it. Buck the Fison.
  9. Thank you for the insight. I'm looking forward to seeing him play in the spring game.
  10. I'd say all signs thus far indicate Bubba & his staff are doing one heck of a job. We're finally in good hands! Go Sioux!
  11. The term "JV" is intentionally derogatory in the present context; therefore, it simply shouldn't be used. I don't support it's use when explaining FCS football. Perhaps if collegiate hockey was actually popular on a national level, then there would be a "JV" level for collegiate hockey as well.
  12. You bring up a very good point, and well, I agree. If UND football can get on the national stage, which would require both an FBS upset and a FCS national championship, it would likely surpass hockey as the most popular UND sport. Football simply has a greater following, even in North Dakota.
  13. Actually I was being complimentary by saying he's a 2 star recruit. I don't put a lot of stock in recruiting websites; they're wrong as often as they're right. I sure hope Chris Carter enjoys UND and Grand Forks on his visit. He's a darn good looking football player and would be a great addition to this year's recruiting class. Go Sioux!
  14. http://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-Chris-Carter-149701 http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=6868779 2 star recruit for both Rivals and Scout. We need good defensive backs, especially in the Big Sky Conference. We didn't have any good cover corners during the Mussman era.
  15. Absolutely. The Twin Cities should be our #1 pipeline each and every season. There is a bunch of talent there and UND is well regarded there also.
  16. I hope Jones stays committed to Minnesota, because it only increases the likelihood that Josh Parks commits to UND.
  17. All three of today's commitments are solid additions and they all will likely be contributing in a couple years. Welcome to UND!
  18. Rumors are he wants an air raid offense, so he'll have to leave the Big Ten. Texas Tech?
  19. I would characterize this as an unnecessary personal attack. Your incompetence and lack of logic is quite concerning. You continue to be a nuisance with such pointless comments. If you can't add something constructive, don't comment. Although I don't support debating with morons, I'll provide you with these websites. www.grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-medical-schools/rural-medicine-rankings www.ranker.com/list/top-us-medical-schools-with-rural-medicine-programs/college-info
  20. Glad we got him! He's a solid quarterback prospect!
  21. Give Studsrud a solid running game and he'd be fine in the play-action game. Throw in a few designed QB runs like NDSU did for Jenson and you've got a multidimensional offense that is tough to defend. I'd go with Studsrud.
  22. So apparently Wilkie is the next Joe Montana. Some people need to get a grip... The kid has potential but is no sure thing. There's plenty of other capable quarterbacks in the region, and I for one am fine with Studsrud. He's listed as 6'1" and has great athleticism. Rudolph can coach ball security and fundamentals, but you can't teach athleticism. You either have it or you don't. Check out the highlights: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/602945/ Apparently Northern Illinois and Rod Carey were semi-impressed also (he has a PWO opportunity for NIU). Hope he chooses UND.
  23. Keaton Studsrud is a good quarterback prospect out of Minnesota and he will be visiting this weekend. I don't think there's a huge difference between Studsrud and Wilkie overall, so I'm fine with Studsrud if he decides to come to UND. He's very athletic and his highlights have him making some nice throws.
