PAT is good. 7 - 7 tied Let's go UND defense, time for another big stop or, better yet, a turnover
-
Studsrud takes QB sneak into endzone. Touchdown UND!
-
Santiago does not get in the endzone on 2nd and goal at 1 yard line. 3rd and goal UND
-
Kyle Norberg takes the patented FB dive for 12 yards. Ball on 1 yard line.
-
UND starts the 2nd quarter with the ball on the Idaho State's 13 yard line. 1st and goal. Let's punch the ball into the darn endzone! Go Hawks!
-
Another UND penalty False start Kyle Norberg The discipline on the road is hideous. C'mon guys
-
Nice crossing route by Demun Mercer! Studsrud rolls right and finds him! 1st and goal UND
-
huge catch for Noah Wanzek! That kid has been unreal this year. Bubba and staff need to keep recruiting at basketball games!
-
SHORT! UND should get ball due to turnover on downs. Idaho State QB had angle to run for first down but Connor O'Brien chased him down and trips him up short! UND ball. Let's get this thing in the damn endzone boys!
-
Man, if UND drops two consecutive games to Idaho State.... THAT WOULD BE BAD. But it is still early. SACK for UND... big play for UND defense
-
2 offsides for UND defense already. 4 total for UND. NOT GOOD! Team isn't mentally sharp early -- c'mon!
-
Studsrud sacked. Jeez.... Punt coming for UND at their own 5 yard line....
-
Penalties and turnovers .... not acceptable, especially on the road.
-
John Santiago breaks a big run, but the refs call Luke Fiedler on a illegal block. Play comes back.
-
Early turnover (interception) is the difference. UND can't win if they lose the turnover battle, considering how UND plays specifically.
-
KW Williams continues his success against UND (big numbers in last year's game). Idaho State receiver catches TD in back corner of the endzone. TD Idaho State. 7-0 Idaho State DAMN
-
Looks like Austin Cieslak, likely aggravated his previous injury.
-
Keaton Studsrud pass is batted up and picked off by Idaho State. Returned to UND's 15 yard line. DAMN DAMN DAMN
-
No Reyes. Chuck Flowers starts in his place. Idaho State goes for it on 4th and 3 at UND's 33 yard line, but, fortunately, UND tips the pass, forces incompletion, and gets the ball. GO UND!

UND's offensive line has been playing well the past few games. It is also great how many very capable ball-carriers UND has. I expect UND to be able to run the ball quite well today, but it is also nice to know Studsrud is playing top-notch as well. Hopefully Studsrud won't have to sling it around too much. Big thing to watch during this game, in my opinion, is the UND defense versus an offense that caused them fits AT HOME IN THE ALERUS last season. I think the UND secondary is quite superior to last year's secondary, as evidenced by the interception numbers, so UND should be able to hold down the scoring enough. GO FIGHTING HAWKS! LEAVE NO DOUBT!

UND will be fine if they win out. Committee would take notice of a 9 game winning streak.
-
If this scenario happens, then the FCS playoff committee needs to again be called out. UND would be on a 9 game winning streak with only 1 FCS loss whereas Montana would have 2 FCS losses (assuming they only lost to Poly and EWU). Always a chance Montana and/or EWU - or even UND for that matter - slips up in a matchup we don't expect. It's why they play the games. Fun argument to speculate with but UND needs to focus on themselves. Wins will earn you respect and that is what UND needs to focus on doing (winning) irregardless of the opponent. Get in to the postseason and you always have a chance.

For decades, conferences have supported regional rivalries. Is UND above is? Not in my opinion; in fact, I would say it would improve UND's number of opportunities to boost their regional reputation and capture more followers. Logically, UND should be in the same conference as their primary rival, NDSU.
-
Sometimes people need to take a step back, take off the green shades, and realize UND still has work to do within the athletic department. Basketball and football is going in the right direction, but still has to make strides. UND belongs in a conference that doesn't require flights everywhere -- it just makes sense. Fans will be able to better travel for road games and home contests will be better attended.

I agree with you. UND certainly may not be favored in every FCS-to-FCS contest, but they absolutely do have a chance to win each and every contest. The confidence now with UND in each game is necessary to win championships. Bubba is injecting confidence into his program and, also, the fans which is a good sign.
