Apparently the Big Sky is begging us to leave the conference.
Yeah, sure seems like it. These penalties are killing UND

Big missed PI against MSU now. Great Dussold punt downed at the 5
Yup, should've been PI on MSU.
This offense isn't too shabby when they open it up, but the penalties are killing UND. C'mon Bubba, this offense needs to be fixed.

Great boot play call, protection, pass and catch. Next play is great run by Brady but penalty called (chopped block). These penalties are just absolute killers.
Add a hold to that. Damn this team is ugly on offense

I'm sorry Bubba, but these close games are not healthy all the time. It's okay to win by more than single digits sometimes.

Penalties!!! Damnit

Keep running Brady !!!! No better compliment to Santiago than Mr Olivera!
Agree. Run Santiago and Oliveira both. UND ran one bootleg pass in the 1st half, so I know it's in the playbook -- I'm just asking that they work that into the 1st down call list.

Hopefully that score settles the offense in for the 2nd half.

Ugh, dropping picks, penalties, dropping TDS, missing FGs, leaving doubt-
Yup
these guys just don't care about the 1st half of football

The refs conveniently missed the hands to the face by the DE
Yeah, that's the retaliation rule of officiating. 2nd man is usually the one that gets caught.
-
Damn. Penalties and turnovers...
That's basic football, man.

Beautiful run by Oliveira. Keep #5 rolling

Defense is, once again, the first unit to produce momentum for UND.
Great job Labat

So when Rudolph sucks at play calling we march down the field despite false starts. Then you pass happy guys get what you want and we go three and out with almost zero rest for the d.
They picked up a easy first down with the first play. Mercer just has to handle the ball better. Stanley was breaking open on 2nd play and check down to Toivonen was perhaps wrong read.

Our tight ends have to be getting tired of not getting to suit up for games...
You hit that one on the head. Any chance we get Cloyd involved in passing game like fellow true freshmen Toivonen and Wanzek? Would be great for entire team

It's the 4th game of the season and we still haven't scored an offensive point in the first quarter - Looking at you, Rudolf
It's an obvious issue at this point

Rudolph can't make the blocks. There have been plays that would have worked if guys didn't whiff. Also, I don't trust Taubenheim. His leg isn't strong enough to kick in the wind.
That's not the whole story. When the defense is selling out against the run, play action works to provide time by misconception. Not to mention, Studsrud is mobile and needs to be involved on run-pass options to assess the defensive rush and not get blind sided.

Am I the only one that thinks a PA pass would work great on 1st down?
It would.

Wouldnt you think bubba would have talked to rudolph about this?
It's getting ugly in terms of strategy. I just can't believe it.

Could Rudolph be any more predictable of a play caller?
It's horrible.
Run on EVERY 1st down.
Anytime Keaton audibles, it's always a run! So easy, it's almost Jr. High level.
Fortunately, Studsrud has been on target on 3rd and 4th down. But for a QB coach, Rudolph does his QB no favors by calling pass when d expects run.
Cmon Rudolph or whoever dictates offensive gameplan -- pathetic !
-
Defense looks good -- should be able to hold down MSU. Offense just can't keep putting the defense in bad positions!

The OL has been shuffled and it should do the trick.
Interesting. Please elaborate if you have anymore information on the offensive line.
Separate from what UND's offensive line line-up is, and regardless of whether the MVFC vs BSC debaters agree or not, I believe the Big Sky Conference has some iffy defenses. I expect UND's running game to get on track against these Big Sky Conference defenses, starting today against Montana State.
With that said, the BSC does have explosive offensive skill players. UND's defense needs to play assignment sharp and not have mental lapses that result in big plays like what happened against Bowling Green and South Dakota.

This team is so hard to watch. Just so bad on offense. So so bad.
