210 will remain largely empty then. 210 and 211 for students and 212 for band. That would allow two premium midfield sections to be turned over to paying ticket holders and actually be well filled throughout the duration of the game (not empty in the 4th quarter).
-
I absolutely agree with this. Well thought out and logical. It would be an improvement and should be implemented as soon as possible.
-
Paying fans who are more likely to actually attend the game and stay for its entire duration should be awarded mid-field seats. That’s all. Students can still attend games for free and sit in a student section with their peers, just not take prime real estate at mid-field only to leave in the 2nd quarter revealing hundreds of empty seats for the important second half; it just looks bad. It’s what most universities do; nothing new.
-
Another quality reason why moving the student section should be done full-time (regular season plus postseason).
-
Been saying that for years. Not sure that reducing the student section size is the answer, although I’d be okay with it, but moving the section away from mid-field is a must in my opinion. Most college football student sections are not situated at the 50 yard line; just reality.

It appears to be the situation ... damn

False accusations everywhere. I assess and am critical of only on-field ability of said 18-22 yr old kids. But yet the guy who makes blind personal statements regarding inappropriate sexual activity is commended? I’m not taking a step back at all. Many of you on here are severely lost.
-
You’re defending a guy who stated the hockey team “ran a train on my girlfriend back in the day” and that makes me bipolar? There certainly is a few errors in your logic, I’m afraid.
-
Oh calm down. Bunch of drama queens on here always being so damn dramatic. Enjoy the wins and the season.

UND ice hockey is disgusting, as are you. Notice the similarities?

What the ... ? There are therapy programs specifically designed for individuals like you. I recommend you enroll in one immediately.

I was very discouraged by Blublaugh’s play last season. Anyone who watched the games should’ve been concerned also. He definitely has improved tons since then and is now playing great ball. His confidence is in a good place too. He isn’t a starter yet as Harris and Holm have those spots, so will still have to wait for his junior season to be really convinced, but he’s definitely on the right track.

Good player, great student-athlete. Former walk-on. Best wishes to this young man. Always hurts to lose a senior.
-
I liked the 4th down and short call in the red zone. Showed aggression in the second half while still up 34-0. Went with full house backfield with all three backs (Santiago, Oliveira, and Johannesson) and went with play action pass; good call just needed to be executed better.
-
Offense is still designed basic, but you’re absolutely right; Kettingham’s ability to throw and hit the deep ball will absolutely revolutionize the UND offense. Rudolph just needs to keep calling those plays. #1 offensive play call improvement I saw: deep pass plays called right after turnovers. Hit ‘em when it hurts! Love that aggressiveness ... as a result, UND football finially delivers a big time blow out win!! Key is still forcing turnovers though. Don’t overlook that. Forcing turnovers wins games.

“hockey school” ?? What a joke of a term. How many DI flagship universities can honestly call themselves that? It’s a model that does not work; thus NDSU’s sudden rise over the past decade. Hockey is niche sport that can only supplement a DI athletic department, not carry it. The current model that UND employs is self-limiting. UND needs to expand football and basketball immediately. DI “hockey schools” are either private or underachieving. UND obviously falls under the latter category. As for the DI sports of football and basketball being medicore at UND, it’s hard for anyone with objective lenses to be critical when they are funded at a near DII level.

Nice job UND hockey, solid tie at home versus the big DI flagship university of Bemidji State ... Go Fighting Hawks Athletics!
-
Early turnovers were absolutely huge. Hats off to the defense and special teams. Great job of the offense capitalizing on turnovers too. Ketteringham looked great minus 1 interception in redzone. 3rd quarter remains horrible weakness for UND - no scoring again for the UND offense. I loved the aggressive deep passes in the first half, though. Keep that up along with the physical running of Brady Oliveira and James Johannesson. Awesome to have a blow out win against a big name program like Montana. Also nice to do it in front of home crowd.
-
Real DI is a made-up term by UND hockey fans to make them feel special. No such thing as “real DI”, but whatever makes you think NCAA hockey is worth a damn.
-
Bemidji, MN .... *Huge* Big 10 School! Thousands watching!
-
You’re just an outstanding poet, huh? The mighty crown jewel of UND DI athletics, the men’s ice hockey team, just opened up their season with a loss to Bemidji. Let me say it again ... a loss to BEMIDJI!!! Wow, and people around UND think NCAA ice hockey is such a big deal ... Wow. Nothing wrong with NCAA hockey, but don’t bash FCS DI football or NCAA basketball over the medicore at best sport of NCAA ice hockey. UND needs to expand funding to other sports not played on ice immediately.

No. I expect a competent offense that correctly utilizes it’s personnel and actually scores points. Nice stretch by you, though. How is Uncle Paul doing these days?

What the? Don't use drugs, kids.
