  1. 48-17 isn’t just a scheme lapse Danny boy …
  2. There were some issues for Northern Iowa that can’t be ignored. Hungry or not, UNI rush defense looked bad and UND needs to win or overall outlook for 2022 UND season will be bleak.
  3. Highlights: Northern Iowa @ Air Force 9/3/22
  4. The success of the team will speak for itself. Need to keep fans coming back with good performances. Also, can’t take pressure off of UND athletic department and the Alerus Center - they can continue to improve the experience as well independent of the football team’s performance. I mean, just look at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln (extreme example but stay with me); you can have several consecutive losing seasons and still have an incredible home-field atmosphere.
  5. absolutely, no arguing here. You always want a receiver that can catch - number one skill - but after that the more speed/explosiveness the better. UND has guys that can catch but they are all 4.6 guys and no 4.3 guys. There is room for improvement in recruiting in this area, but it’s a challenge because all the FBS teams are attracting the 4.3 guys.
  6. Happened last year at Utah State… been happening over and over again
  7. Big game for UND vs UNI 2 simple things for me: 1) always will emphasize turnovers and penalties. Und won turnover battle at Nebraska but lost in terms of penalties. UND needs to be disciplined in home opener vs UNI. 2) biggest thing I will be looking for will be how UND performs in the 4th quarter. As I’ve said, going back to all of 2021 including @ Utah State and vs NDSU, and even now with the one game in 2022 (at Nebraska), UND has not been good in the 4th quarter. I want to see UND be the better team in the 4th quarter on Saturday and start finishing games to show improvement relative to 2021.
  8. Keep telling yourself whatever to inflate your gentle, sensitive ego. It obviously needs it given how frequently you visit this UND site.
  9. No, you have. You’ve gathered a ton of garbage with no factual basis - just speculation - from various bizon sources, probably bozoville, and reposted here via word diarrhea. And it somehow is now factual discourse with you criticizing UND? we are all supposed to just listen/read these facts from someone named “fueled by ramen” and take it for fact? Man, you epitomize Fargo U syndrome perfectly. You can stop spewing B.S. any time now - we won’t miss it. In fact, you’re way off topic and derailing everything.
  10. False, recency bias is a major factor in reality. What have you done for me lately? bizon bizon bizon Fargo U, ad nauseam, damn it gets old with you bumpkins
  11. This attempt at minimization is not factual at all. I hate NDSU athletics as much as the next UND fan, but you can’t argue their football success has done absolutely nothing for their athletic department and university.
  12. Oh you can definitely fault him because he lost on that play. But even though that was a huge play in terms of momentum, it ultimately is just one play, and you have to move on.
  13. You’re preaching to the choir, pal. I contribute and will continue to contribute. But I can’t single-handedly fund a DI football program. Last I checked, I don’t have any oil on my property or a casino in Vegas … Need more folks to contribute. Increase popularity. Increase excitement around football and not just hockey. I’m not going to find the WR talent, the full time coaching staff needs to do that with the resources they have, which does need to improve, for sure.
  14. A lot of details go into recruiting. Where you recruit, how you recruit, etc. UND’s facilities are improving and hopefully compensation will as well. There needs to be continual improvement because I agree that the current level of resources is not adequate. NIL is something folks around UND definitely need to look into sooner rather than later. There is a lot of DII talent at certain spots for UND. you can only scheme up so much; remember, it’s not the x’ s and o’s, it’s the Jimmy’s and the Joe’s …
  15. Ha! Plenty of poor offensive performances over the past couple years. He’s not immune to some criticism. 17 points yesterday was by no means an amazing performance. Plenty of work to do. I think the obvious criticism is UND needs more explosive plays. Sure, throwing deep is one way to do it, but simply having more playmakers is another way to accomplish it. issue is, everyone else in the country wants the same thing … for what UND has, they do alright. But certainly UND could use more explosive talent at not only WR but all the skill positions (including QB).
  16. Missouri Valley is the Missouri Valley. NDSU and SDSU are good, everyone else UND needs to beat and should beat. No excuses other than failed execution and coaching.
  17. But losing to 11-3 Utah State didn’t make UND a good team in 2021. UND had losing record in 2021. No moral victories. Bubba still needs to be held accountable. With that said, I completely agree. Let’s let the season play out. Let’s see what happens next week vs UNI. UND needs to continue to improve because a 38-17 loss at Nebraska means nothing - still need to get better and UND has an opportunity to do that. The season is young.
  18. damn you’re cool … Fargo university “football only school” but yet still not important in grand scheme of things …so unimportant they can’t even be scheduled to play big schools anymore sucks to suck go back to bisonville where you can continue your delusional existence
  19. Important to really understand what FBS means. It means more scholarships and usually more money with television contracts. Beyond that, the coaches on FBS teams still coach the same game that FCS coaches coach. Rules are the same. Football field is still the same width and length. Point being, there is a very wide spectrum of football amongst FBS teams. Simply chalking something up to FCS vs FBS is a lazy way of making an argument. We’ve seen many FCS upsets of FBS over the recent years, including Power 5 teams. The top FCS teams consistently match up with FBS because football remains the same; you need good players on the field that can tackle and block. And even if FBS has more scholarships, FCS can still develop and instruct good starting players to see the field. Final point; don’t take the embarrassing way out by saying it was/is an FCS vs FBS matchup. It doesn’t mean as much as you think. example: und lost a lead @ Utah state last season in the second half, it was FCS/FBS, but turns out und had the same problem all season long against fcs opponents as well. Football is still football, regardless of scholarship numbers and television contracts
  20. Great effort for 3 quarters. UND played winning football (by that, I mean good enough to beat a Power 5 team) for 3 quarters. Just ran out of steam in the 4th quarter. Call it a lack of depth, lack of experience, whatever, really the classic FCS-FBS experience. Same thing happened 2nd half last season @ Utah State. 3rd and 15 conversion (deep pass) by Nebraska late in the game was the final knockout blow that gave Nebraska the momentum for the rest of the game. Need to continue to work on finishing games in the 4th quarter. I know this was a Big 10 opponent, but UND had trouble finishing games against FCS opponents all of last season. Coaching staff and Bubba still need to preach to work on finishing games and being the better team in the 4th quarter. Just not there yet, but will have plenty of opportunities - starting next week vs UNI - to show this team and staff can develop a closing killer attitude in the 4th quarter. It is paramount for a successful 2022 and to show improvement relative to 2021.
  21. Yep, sure am. Happy UND played tough for 3 quarters, but I was hoping for a win. Not going to cower away from that hope despite your berating.
  22. I predicted 38-14 (actual score 38-17) but I didn’t suspect it to be tied in the 3rd quarter. UND did some goods things, but it still isn’t a win. Too bad they couldn’t finish. The game was over when Nebraska converted on 3rd and 15 when it was only a 7 point game.
  23. Yet UND couldn’t beat said 3-9 team? let’s wait and see, no moral victories
  24. Win this game!!! Come out guns a’ blazing Bubba/squad and grab the momentum! Huge opportunity in front of UND squad
