  1. The switch from Peyton Lolytz to Danny Carroll is a major concern. High snaps aside, him being listed at 6-1 and 285 lbs is generous at best. More like 5’11” - 260 lbs. just not a DI center body type in my opinion, so to compound that with consistently bad snaps is disconcerting.

The presence of SDSU on UND’s schedule does increase the strength of schedule for UND. That’s a fact. The other opponents on the schedule are quite fluffy, though, with the exception of the big one this weekend: @ NDSU Its no secret that SDSU and NDSU should be the prime matchups and highlighted contests year in and year out for UND football

Also run by bizon ag school clowns … their stranglehold on FCS football is obsessive and tiresome

I completely agree. I have never been fooled by the “Hero Sports” masquerade. It’s quite sickening.
  5. UND is on a 3 game winning streak. Let’s see how things go. I just want consistency and progress. Going from playoffs to a losing season is no way to build a program. It’s happened a couple times (2016 to 2017, 2021 seasons) to this program under the current staff and that propagates mediocrity. But maybe things are fixed now. We’ll see. But, like I mentioned, UND appears destined for playoffs this season so let’s see how it plays out.
  6. Thanks, but no thanks, for the psychological assessment. Your entire rant was chaotic. It would be the healthiest to just stop worrying about my predictions and whether or not I’m right or wrong. - Henry Ford
  7. I shouldn’t have to clarify anything, BUT, my comments still stand. Several of UND’s current players held only D2 offers when they were recruited by UND. Example: Tommy Schuster. Obviously, that’s not entirely true for entire team (there’s several FCS transfers and others who held DI offers). Also, some of those players with only D2 offers, like Tommy, have ascended big time. That’s more an exception, though, than the norm. UND still can and should boost their recruiting yield. Consistently making the playoffs should help. But again, I’m not sensitive, because I actually detail everything. The mafia on this site just swarms on the same damn thing without any justification. Funny how that works, huh? It is very sad that UND has a group like that associated it with it, but doesn’t surprise me.
  8. They’re a good group. Brian Shawn is first class.
  9. Yep… unfortunately
  10. D2 roster and coaches that can’t coach? That’s not UND, to be clear. But things can still improve. They always can. Someone is a bit sensitive, huh?
  11. Sure, there are “many” fans, but to be more specific, I hope that the Alerus Center can be sold out in the future as opposed to having only 9500 seats filled during important end-of-season games. Need to keep winning, need to keep improving, across the board.
  12. I agree with this. The 4th quarter hype videos are way better than the intro hype video.
  13. Ok dick
  14. We’re talking about attendance, not which sport is more important. There are plenty of NDSU football fans who are UND hockey fans, but those fans don’t factor into this equation, because NDSU fans obviously aren’t going to be filling the Alerus Center regularly. Fans of UND often choose to attend one event or the other, not both, when they are scheduled on the same date. Too much commitment to attend both if you have family, daytime work scheduled, traveling family to cater to, etc. REA oftentimes gets the nod due to the nightlife aspect and aesthetics. Additionally, being it’s an evening event, work schedule and travel plans don’t conflict as much as an early afternoon game. Last but not least, the UND hockey reputation vs that of football is in hockey’s favor. To regularly expect fans to show up to both events on game days is not realistic. Just the reality of UND football occurring simultaneously with UND hockey. With that said, there’s enough folks around Grand Forks to ultimately fill the Alerus. If UND can win more and convince regional fair weather fans to buy in (e.g., beat NDSU), that will help attendance - no doubt.
  15. Key to the game. I’ll take Tommy Schuster if it gets into a shoot out between him and Cam Miller. But the thing is, NDSU is going to do everything they can to prevent it to even get into a shootout. They’ll run the ball every play and play a super soft Cover 2 (bend but don’t break) waiting for UND to make a mistake and turn it over. keys: defense: UND needs to stop NDSU run offense: UND and Schuster need to make good smart decisions all game long. Turn the ball over, even just a simple fumble like against SDSU this year, and NDSU will get the crowd into it and run away with the game
  16. The entire world knows this will be NDSU’s game plan (i.e., run the ball every play if they can), and NDSU is fine with that. Now it’s simply up to UND to stop it.
  17. Don’t disagree with this one bit at all. The matchup of the game is NDSU offensive line versus UND defensive front. NDSU will take the air out of the ball running it at all costs to avoid having to have Miller throw.
  18. Benchmark at UND is always to beat NDSU, whether one likes to admit it or not. Well, here we are: another opportunity to turn the tide.
  19. “One of the toughest FCS schedules” is inflated by #1 SDSU being on it. Losing at SIU is looking more and more like a bad loss and the loss at FBS disaster Nebraska is certainly not anything to brag about. Beat NDSU and all is forgiven.
  20. Nope. You misinterpreted and exaggerated what I said to fit your narrative. Copy and paste isn't exactly accurate, is it? I think the coaches could do better and the players could be better, but I’m beyond happy that they’ve won the last 3 games. Happy to see improvement.
  21. Nope. Just amazing someone would waste a few seconds of their life typing that.
  22. Agree with most all of this; only complaint with the offense is what you actually stated as a complaint: sometimes it gets too cute, especially in the red zone. UND was fortunate the failed red zone possession didn’t come back to haunt them since they got that blocked punt.
  23. yes - would go a long way. Need to upend those bandwagon builders
  24. Wins is a part of the solution, but competing with the Ralph Engelstad Arena head-to-head will never help either. Best case scenario for football attendance is always UND football winning, Alerus Center doing a good job in production (of which work still needs to be done - end zone lounge seating anyone plus catwalk open?), AND the hockey team not playing in town.
  25. I agree. Never should be the expectation to get blown out, even if it’s @ Juice U in fact, I’d say UND should force Miller to win the game. Against UND’s secondary, he very well may, but the odds are in UND’s favor. If you let NDSU’s run game get going, it will be a long day.
