Rumor has it he left Wisconsin cause his wife caught him cheating which was total unsubstantiated. Until, she started tweeting about how she hated Wisconsin and was happy they got beat by some low level team. At any rate he has a history of classless behavior so this doesn't shock me.Even classier that Bielema denied making the gesture and claimed that the picture was photo-shopped...but there is also video showing the gesture...

Well let's face it D-1 national championships are kind of a farce with no playoff. Obviously, that's improving now. If you consistently landed in top 5 the past 40 years I'd consider it to be a national powerhouse too. Which I guess would be the difference between D-1 hockey and D-1 football. Your right though Big ten championships are expected at Michigan. This season was one of the worst for them.Michigan has won 11 national championships in football, but only 1 since 1948 (and that was in 1997). The legendary coach Bo Schembechler won exactly ZERO national championships. What Michigan fans expect is to consistently win Big 10 conference championships and be one of the top teams in the country every year. Suffering home blow-out losses to schools like Utah and Minnesota is not in the equation.
By comparison, Ohio State recognizes 7 national championships but only 1 since 1970 (that being 2002), yet everybody pretty much still recognizes the Buckeyes as a national football powerhouse.

Yep, that's the guy. My bad I thought I read somewhere he committed already.The Colorado QB - Pomona HS - Justin Roberts was offered by Southwest Minnesota State and Nebraska Kearney. He has not committed anywhere yet. Has visits scheduled to Washburn and CSU-Pueblo the D2 National Champs. North Dakota, South Dakota State and Georgetown are still talking to him but no official offer. Dad was starting QB at UNC back in the early 90's and had some free agent tryouts in NFL. So good blood lines. Be interesting to see if UND pulls the trigger or not.

2015 Pomona quarterback Justin Roberts picks up first offer.
Earlier this week 2015 Pomona quarterback Justin Roberts gained his first offer coming from Southwest Minnesota State. Roberts had a great season helping his Pomona Panthers to a 9-3 record and a quarterfinal berth in playoffs. For the season Roberts hit on 66% of his passes for 1,659 yards and thirteen scores against only three interceptions.
At 6-4 195 pounds Roberts has great size, a good arm and solid athleticism. Roberts’ game is made of strong feet in the pocket and he is especially adept throwing in multiple situations from multiple platforms. Roberts’ mechanics, pocket awareness and understanding of the game were key to his very high completion rate this season.
Beyond the Southwest Minnesota offer Roberts is hearing from Washburn, CSU-Pueblo, North Dakota, Georgetown, San Diego and Drake. Wake Forest has also contacted, looking at Roberts as a preferred walk-on. In January Roberts will take visits to Washburn and CSU-Pueblo.

Like any big program that's well funded and has a massive fan base it will be easy for him to bring them back to the top 25 but can he get them to #1. That's what that fan base is craving/expecting. It's the same with UND hockey anything less than a Championship is garbage and you can forget about it if you don't finish in the top five in the nation. Daunting task for anybody but I imagine Harbaugh knows exactly what he's getting himself into.Reports keep coming in that Jim Harbaugh will indeed become the next head coach of Michigan...

SW MN State can't remember his name. There was a kid from Pennsylvania that some how ended up on our radar that had a good looking video as well.Had that one from Colorado verbaled anywhere? He looked like a ball player also. Kind of a Favre like delivery.

I know you like him you're the one who pointed him out to me. I watched almost all the videos for the QB's we had an interest in and watched two of them live. He was one of three I'd say that really popped at me. One of the those three committed to NIU and I thought Anderson atleast by video is better.We need to get him. He's got steal written all over him. That injury will make him a better player and leader but also keeps other schools away. Just the way the ball comes out of his hand is something you can't teach. He really flicks it.

Agreed, another QB would be great. Not sure where things are at with Trey Anderson. But, he might be a real steal.I would think that we would need to get another QB in this class other than the Rugby kid. Seems like we have had a lot of QBs not stick around very long here other than the 3 soon to be juniors (assuming they stick around).

The Ag school trolls have a point if we are losing recruits we have offered to St. Thomas. Might be an academic scholarship deal but I'm not sure about this. Anyone else offer him? -
I'd like to see Mollberg still I just think he has the most potential.the topic is molberg or bartels. so next year do we have both or neither, or a combination with studsrud?

That's true, Bradley at this point he's not a NFL coach he's a booster. Either way as much as I dislike NDSU I hope nothing comes of this. If Jimmy K wants to call a recruit and tell him he'd like too see him at UND he should be allowed. Although on the flip side you can't let these high school kids get inundated with calls from alumni/boosters. You have to have some rules.Actually Bradley would be considered an FU booster by definition - and until a player is on campus I don't believe a booster can make any kind of contact - but there must be a loophole or the NCAA is too busy chasing down UND players wearing Sioux pins on their jackets to take issue with it.
Violations are to reported to the school's compliance office.

Never heard about this but in my mind there wouldn't be anything wrong with it as far as recruiting. I think as long as they report it and the purpose of the call has nothing to do with the NFL coach recruiting the player to the NFL it's perfectly fine. Yet, there is so many loopholes I think the NC00 can find something wrong with just about anything if they want to.Serious question - How is a former NDSU coach/current NFL coach calling a recruit and congratulating them on verbally committing to NDSU not a recruiting violation? Am I missing something about the recruiting rules about contacting recruits, especially before they have signed a LOI? Or since Bradley's no longer technically associated with NDSU, it is considered OK? For the record, nothing showed UND had interest in the kid at all, so this isn't "sour grapes". Exciting for the kid for sure, but just seems strange.

I can't imagine one more year under the old staff. I give Muss credit he had a theory on how he wanted everything done and stuck to it. Maybe it would've worked for him somewhere else. It certainly didn't here.
At any rate coming off a 5-7 year I don't think I can be more happy about the direction things are going. I still don't see playoffs for a couple years.

Please come back to the board after that game to gloat but not until then.So.....the only commits of UND from the State of Minnesota, according to this compilation, are those in which UND was the only offer or those which UND was the only FCS offer, beating out a D2 school?

For a Freshmen, actually Stockwell just looked good. Little more weight on him and he's looking like a guy who could dress on Sunday's. I mean a lot weight but that's a ways down the road.Miller and Stockwell looked very strong in there, stronger than the other guys.

I wander how many viewers a gopher-UND game gets. I was in Pheonix one year it was playing in a bar and a scuffle broke out. On TV and in the bar. It was that game about six-seven years ago when they started fighting in the handshake line. It was pretty funny cause I think the fight in the bar started cause of Kevin Gorg said something about Finley. It was classic. Gorg is such dink he can insight riots in different time zones.

I don't think you should be playing true freshmen until they get a chance to physically mature. Sometimes they pick up bad habits trying to compensate. As far as Juco transfers go I don't count on them til they are on campus and even then it's 50/50 eligibility or talent wise but I guess that goes for any recruit.

Yes, I forgot about Peluso. Which from what I understand is the one the staff wants. I'm hoping for a miracle of course the QB and ILB's I'd like to see as high school recruits. We need so much immediate help at OL for depth atleast.
If they can pull out a win September 19th it would maybe not eliminate but would atleast blur all the frustrations since 2008. Basically a win against them is a real shot in the arm for the future and we need a OL to do that.

Only one I know of is Jawon Arrington of UAB. He didn't play all that much as a junior. I'd like to see another OL transfer as well. To add to our list two ILB and a couple DB's and of course a very good QB.Anyone have a bead on RB Juco/FBS transfers?
I like the Canadian Freshmen RB but at this point I think we could use another more seasoned recruit to go with Simmons.

I'm not sure that's your duty. Pretty sure your idea of cleaning up the site won't be shared by the board owner. Although, it would be entertaining to watch you. You'd be first mod to be suspended from the site and arrested for drinking and moderating.
