  1. So you're saying the Montana's be damned, we want FCS or we leave the Sky.

UND has dreamed of being associated with the Montana's for conference play for almost 60 years. But Kelley is going to throw that away.

No, what I'm saying is no school has really stated they want to go FBS. Fullerton has stated a hypothetical. If all these certain things happen we may want to do this.
  2. I think what everybody is questioning is that there is nothing published or even stating that Kelley has decided to go FBS. In fact in the story you reference above it doesn't even confirm or state that any Big Sky member is wanting to go FBS. You're the only one that is surmising this.

  3. The one article I read on him said he's contacted Duke's staff. It would be great to get him but I doubt we'll ever see another Braden again. It's nice to think about though.

  4. It's not like Appalachian State, Georgia Southern, or Miami (OH) would draw better. I think your 20-25,000 estimate is about 10,000 too high.

Probably, but who knows with corporate sponsors halftime show that brings people in just to watch a relative perform. It's hard to say. I'd say 30% of people in attendance at every lower level bowl game isn't there to watch football. Either way I'd rather go watch UND play in Frisco for a title.
  5. UND's drawing (on an extraordinary day) 10,000 for a home game. What do you suppose a "Nordic Bowl" game between, say, Bowling Green and North Dakota would draw at the new Vikings stadium?

At its best I'm going to say 20-25,000. I doubt Bowling Green brings many fans.
  6. I believe so. I don't think he played at all this year and probably doesn't fit our offense very well as he doesn't seem very mobile but he put up some ridiculous numbers in high school but I don't have much of an eye for QB talent.

You're on this board admitting you don't have an eye for talent? We're all experts here.
  7. And what has Georgia State got to show for all of that money spent on the great leap forward to FBS football?

An 0-12 record last year and a 1-11 record this year. I guess they need more $$$$$.

I agree we are not now and even if we do get 15,000 fans a game we will never be FBS caliber program. Can we compete with the mid majors? Yes, but we'll never get ourselves in position to compete for a national championship (Big Ten/SEC) We're fine right where were at. I think at some point there might be some reorganization with the major conferences breaking away. At that point we may want to look at making a move. Until, then we should stay put. Shouldn't even be a argument.
  8. I wander if Army withdrew then? To me he looks like a talent. You hear a lot of rumors you can't always trust about these kids. It is weird if SDSU is not interested. So who knows. Who cares we don't as far as I know have an offer to him.

  9. I saw the tweet said something about a Jacksonville Jaguar coach... I'd presume it to be Bradley as well, but was it for sure him? That I do not know.

Hope it isn't a huge deal or anything. Boosters should stay out... Tough for schools to regulate though.

I agree but rules are rules. There needs to be some sort of order for the kids getting recruited. Especially the big time recruits at big schools.
  10. Did Bradley do it or did a different coach? Honestly I don't know. Would the NCAA just tell him not to do it again or?

A poster awhile back put on here that a recent commit to NDSU tweeted that he got a call from Bradley giving him congrats on his verbal to the Bison. Not sure if that's true or not but according to Ira who seems to know a lot it's a big no no.
  11. We have a walk on who is projected as the #10 left tackle in the draft next year. He could have been at und right now with a schollie offer!

There is a WR for the Vikings that grew up 45 miles from Fargo that went to Mankato who could've went to NDSU with a offer. What's your point? Kids develop sometimes?

  12. No agenda, if you guys want to have you're own private website, so be it,, all I am saying is NDSU is head and shoulders above UAB stop with the. Transfer talk and build a program from the ground up

We have a massive amount of scholarships and need transfers to stagger our schollies. Get it? Four or five years from now we can't graduate 30 seniors and expect to stay competitive.
