For those of you making the comparison with the Hockey team and BSU you almost have a good point. UND plays there every year and has since their inception to D-1 hockey. Minnesota played a OOC there last year and also played in Bemidji the first year they went D-1. So even Minnesota gives a little. As I said earlier though you almost have a good point cause who gives a crap. This is a football game and not just any football game. A game thats been in all of our lives marked on a calendar every year since we could remember. If you say anything else you're either lying or just a hockey fan and you don't watch football. Both UND and NDSU fans loved this game. They/we loved the hatred, trash talking and all the deviant behavior that went along with it. I acknowledge a small amount of fans claim differently on both sides. Yet, if they truly felt that way they certainly wouldn't talk about on forums. All that is the true passion a person holds for their own school and the hatred they hold for the other school. I'm not wild about UND having to go to Fargo twice with no return but if thats what it takes so be it. We finally got a guy thats calling the shots and understands our fanbase. Let the man do his job and lead our players and apparently our adminstration into a new era.

Talent can be wasted by lack of direction and complacency. On the flip side mediocrity can be elevated to greatness with organization and hard work.Bubba's leadership doesn't produce talent, and that's what's needed. I would be very surprised if next years team ends up being better than this years team.

I think everybody needs to just see what happens in the next 48 hours. I don't know anything not trying to come off as I do. I just think by Friday the two apparent finalist aren't going to be the one announced. Atleast that's what I'm hoping. Not that these two are bad choices for the position, They just needed to be hired last week if they are the ones hired.

I think I read on here earlier that he may be going to Northern Illinios? Is that right? If true I hope everything works out for him. He's a great talent. I also hope that the bleeding stops now. Cuska, Carr and anybody else I can only hope stays.

I don't know anything about any of these recruits. Obviously other subjects have dominated the board the past month. As usual I'd like to see some O-lineman but I really think we need a great running back. Miller is good but I really would like to see them land a standout. Of course Conerback is a hole on Defense that I also would like to see shored up. I didn't answer your question but its good to talk about something other than the coaching fiasco.So I'm getting sick of all the speculation about the new coach, who are our top recruits that we've offered that we need/can realistically get?

I believe the Little Ceasars Bowl game is Dec. 26. That's what Pitt is playing in. Highly doubt thats what he's waiting on but maybe.Faison said hire by Christmas. Pittsburgh plays there bowl game Dec 21st. Speculation more cash for salary? Timing is everything. Maybe he is waiting for Dec 22nd.

I've read up on this Evans lady. What I got from this without it being really a reputable site is that she never has and still doesn't have a liscense to practice law yet she is General counsel for UND? WTF?Don't worry people, the individuals who we are counting on to up the salary of the head coach above $150k apparently drink $1 tequila shots on Tuesday nights. Surely nothing could go wrong.
The fact that she has a law degree from UND tarnishes every degree from the law school. I guess sleeping around can get you places in life though.

Is he buddies with Bollinger or just have people that are in the know? Judging by his name on here he would be around his age. Which means I probably know him as well but I don't remember any Vince's. Of course it might not be his name. Either way I'm sure Brooks wouldn't mind if he told people he wasn't going to apply. Impressive resume. I see in 2010 he spent time at Northern Colorado and was highly successful. Like you inferred total shot in the dark but someone like this would be nice to find. I hate to ramp off topic but I may as well join in here. What made Brooks a good candidate was that he knows the area plus nationally known and would have brought a huge amount of excitement to the program. If you look on paper and paper only sure there might have been ten that measured up to him or atleast close. He probably blends with those ten for the Sam Houston job but here he's going to stand out. He would have been a great hire here.I agree with UND-1...He really doesn't have the right experience and was no better off than a lot of the other applicants.

Obligation, could be bowl/playoff game. Not everyone is comfortable leaving a current team hanging in the middle of a national title run or bowl game appearance. Although some coaches are just fine leaving recruits at a local cafe and running off to Ohio (Cincy).Unless the coach has some other obligation, I can't figure it out either. And I can't figure out what that obligation would be?
