I believe it was answered, but for some reason the Big10 Network grabbed the FSN-RM feed. Those guys are normally pretty brutal. Sounds like they'll be in GF next week. I've seen a hockey game or two on the Big 10 Network and felt it was some of the best play calling. No homerism and of course it's always hard to beat a college hockey game in HD.

Didn't we sweep them there last year? I can't remember much of that weekend. What I do remember is asking the beer man how business was and his reply was "you guys are out-drinking Wisconsin."

Lets also not forget that Selanne is coming back. Didn't check the box score, so he could already be back and I believe both are listed as RW.

Can't remember if I posted this or not, but Saturday was the best I had been treated at the John (normally worst of all away venues). No comments were made until people left the game. And then they would pass me and shout something. A female Gopher fan even asked me if our fans were that bad! I had to inform her that the couple comments I received weren't bad at all.

Gorg obviously missed after the handshake fiasco when JPL and Kangas were talking to each other and then gave each other a "glove" bump.

I listened to a bit of the Gopher radio broadcast of the game tonight and they were very complimentary of Sioux players. They really talked up Marto's skating and said he'd be a big point producer in the future.

I agree. It seems that the "traditional powers" are set against each other quite often. Would love to get a look at this Miami team. Michigan St. has been looking good defensively. They only score on PP, so either that's a good thing if we faced them (our PK %) or a bad thing (our penalties per game).

Tom Reid made a weird comment during the Wild game about the trade deadline being 35 days away and inferred Iginla may be gone.

The DU broadcast on Saturday night showed the replay with the overhead camera and actual game clock in the corner. While I don't remember if you could see the light, Schmidt shouldn't have needed it since the game clock was right there. I believe that the overhead view is the only one the refs see.

They did replay last nights game right before this one, and they never even showed a replay of the disallowed goal until the live pregame broadcast.

I noticed plenty of players falling and lots of bouncing pucks. It seemed like the ice wasn't in good shape. Did they have it covered up for something or even removed for some crazy reason?

I'd hold onto Nathan until the trade deadline. Teams always are looking for closers at that time. Hunter was my favorite Twin and I wish he wasn't asking for so much. I don't think he's worth what he got. Santana voiced his displeasure with the organization last year. He didn't have a great year. IF he gets traded the Twins must get a major league ready player or two. Third base and starting pitching being the obvious.

I think their frosh and sophs may slow down a bit. They have like all but 3 of the DU goals on the season.

I didn't read Friday's thread, so maybe this has been answered: Why do we have two refs again? I thought we already have had our six games of two refs and Hak was kind of glad to be done with it.

Our effort and hustle is so much better that we are actually getting calls tonight.

Everything working great here. Better feed than the UND one. Both places have problems with lots of glare at center ice.
