But is the damage done? Students don't tend to be as informed about rivals and conferences. They have a herd mentality. Hype helps but so does the tradition of it being the thing to do like hockey games are.

Exactly how we feel when NDSU games are put on! At least this year they've mostly been on NBC.

Well for us it's obvious: 1) team not doing well 2) hockey weekend (seems to especially be true for students) 3) hunting #2 is just stupid. There are only so many football games. GO!!!! #3 i don't think was truly that big of a deal because it looked like more today than last week and MN opener was this week.

Your not reading very clearly. I didn't say the reason the WCHA did this was because of an appeal. I stated the only possible reason it should've taken a while was if it was appealed. Obviously if it wasn't appealed the WCHA screwed up in this suspension.

What do you mean what? The only reason it should've taken that long was that we appealed it. I know for a fact that we did this with one of the suspensions last year or the year before so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

I don't think it's that big of a deal, and I read it like a jab at us. It's not a necessary thing. Somehow SUU was in summit without traveling partner. ndsufan should know this. It's looking like TCU will be offered Big East and maybe they want all sports in or not. Either way, they won't have a travel partner. Hell they don't have a travel partner now that they are in Mountain West, They are only central time zone school.

My only fear in all this are the still coming conference realignments. It really seems like the west is where all the action is happening. So hopefully teams are staying (would love to see UNO move up). It will be an interesting time and I appreciate the work you put into updating us star. Oddly enough the best thing that may happen for the xDSU's would be the summit starting to crumble due to the realigning and the mvc finally giving a crap about what's happening around them.

I like the 1 o'clock because then the whole day isn't devoted to one activity. Also I can get home and watch all the other big games that are on tv.

Also don't forget that GF now has more flights but smaller planes. We now only get the 50 seaters. They are always packed. I don't think Delta realizes how many GF people are forced to Fargo just due to seats being available.

Can the team have more players than usual travel for this weekends games?

I thought that someone important was hired to help oversee or promote college hockey. But maybe I'm thinking of a different body of hockey.
