  1. holy crap...if if and buts were candy and nuts it would be christmas all the time!!!! get real
  2. past history says that if ndac beats a fbs team that said school will be a very very bad team...its like death and taxes 2006 Ball State (5-7) 2007 Western Michigan (8-6) 2007 Minnesota (1-11) 2010 Kansas (3-9) 2011 Minnesota (3-9) 2012 Colorado State (4-8) 2013 Kansas State (4-8 or 3-9)
  3. looks like the ndac's media blitz could come to a sudden halt if ewu holds on against a RANKED fbs school in oregon state...
  4. everyone needs to just calm down about this win against the ksac...last year the the ndac were puffing their chests out about beating colorado state....csu went on to win 4 games against the four of the worst fbs schools in the country last year (colorado 1-11, Hawaii 3-9, UNLV 2-11, and New Mexico 4-9) i know the ksac is the reigning big 12 champ but reigning also means last YEAR!
  5. with this ndac win that automatically means that the ksac will go about 2-9 this year guaranteed...
  6. saw shea walker at the vball game...no noticeable physical issues chavon mackey had a soft brace on his left wrist... good turnout by other sporting teams...saw lots of bball and fball players at the vball game
  7. To Whom it may concern at Ralph Engelstad Arena-Athletic Department, Just got back from the volleyball game and it is now two years into being a member of once was a pipe dream called the Big Sky Conference...you still haven't gotten around to fully embracing the idea of being members with schools like the University of Montana, Montana State University, Weber State University, and the University of Idaho. WHERE ARE THE MEMBER SCHOOL BANNERS?? Maybe a Big Sky Logo above the north doors? Maybe have Hadju sand down the old Big Sky logo and paint on the correct one on the court?? I know full well that when the beloved hockey team moves from the WCHA to the NCHC that the member schools will be hanging above the club room and the correct NCHC logo will be on the ice near the blue line....but if i show for the first hockey game and i look up and see Michigan Tech and Mankato State's banners hanging above the club room and the WCHA logo near the blue line still i'll just know you guys are just clueless...
  8. its give them a couple of games part that scares me....i watched meserioux sleep walk thru the season last year i kept waiting for someone younger or meaner to play that postion and muss never pulled him (until the suspension)....we need to be ready for the sdsu game!!!
  9. looking at the two-deep i am wondering about pj sparks and javon butler??? how come those guys can't crack the top two? i was kind of surprised that jer garman is second string? i even thought adam would move up a little more...
  10. the fact is that the ndac had about a five year window of opportunity to distance themselves from UND and they pissed thosed years away and the balance of power in North Dakota is tipping and will continue to tip towards Grand Forks...
  11. do you have a link for two-deep
  12. i don't care what year a player is...if he is better right now...play him!
  13. this valpo game is pretty much a scrimmage getting ready for the sdsu game...if bartels is the starter give him damn near the whole game to get a feel for a live game for the first time in a couple of years...the sdsu game will be huge for the seaon going forward...but if bartels is the starter let him play 99% of the snaps to be ready for the jacks
  14. totally shocked about the qb situation!!! what level did bartels play in illinois? i guess that eye in the sky from behind in film session shows the qb's progressions and check downs and with joe playing "only" in detroit lakes maybe bartels was used to quicker pace of action....
  15. sounds like dallas kopp had a health issue today at practice...hopefully he gets well soon...class act old school guy
  16. i just know a crew that worked on that building that worked on other large building sites in this town and they said they laughed at some of the ways that were used to save money that is hidden behind nicely painted walls?? without getting into particulars
  17. never said anything about membership numbers i just said that i know some of the contractors that worked out there and they just laughed at all the corners that were cut to keep it under budget (that in the long run will be more expesive to fix in the future instead of doing it right the first time (like the Ralph)..
  18. found this pic of kuksa from hs...hopefully he flies around the field like this but lands on his feet! http://www.journal-t...e=image&photo=1 i guess you have to scroll thru the photos but its the one where he is completely upsidedown
  19. Choice Fitness looks nice...but was it built nice? Lots of quality craftsmanship was skipped over to get under budget and in the long run the taxpayer will be the ones fixing those issues later...
  20. well said...still curious about that one?
  21. i know you need to have two qb's ready but we are days away from the home opener and i think muss just needs to say joe its your team and have him take 90% of the reps in practice from today on out barring any injury let him run with it hopefully for the next three years (joe leaves for the nfl (first round) after his junior year after beating the ndac in the national title game).
  22. would you happen to know why ryan kasowski would be in the stands watching?? he seemed to have a clipboard and it also seemed like it was a surprise for some of the older players to see him?
  23. didn't mean it as a criticism just an observation...i actually prefer coaches who have an calm demeanor that exude confidence without having to yell all the time
  24. it was the first practice i have ever attended...i stayed about an hour and a half... --freund and boyd were the two most outgoing coaches...very upbeat and vocal especially freund. --on the flip side i wouldn't have suspected that coach luke was the new o coordinator...didn't even notice him once out there --on one defensive play the other coach who wears a weird hat (maybe lb coach not kotelnicki) stopped a play when a db or lb didn't line up properly when the words "orange something" was yelled out and he didn't let the young guy off the hook and didn't run another play until the correct answer was given --will ratelle looks be a guy i wouldn't want to mess with...looks like a zach thomas kind of guy...short, stocky, thick, and can move decent --even just messing around golladay made one handed catches look easy --mollberg is clearly the best qb out there...right before i left he had a throw across field right at me about thirty yards down field and he had plenty of zip on it perfect spiral...wr turned and it was right on the money...bartels struggled a bit from what i saw but it was quite windy that day...seems like jake hanson is freunds underdog...he had a couple of check downs that clearly showed he progressed from each option downfield down to the running back or te in the middle of the field for a "first down" and freund went nuts with praise.
  25. i know und hockey is and has been very popular for a long time but since schlossman took over coverage of und hockey its been second to none (no offense to virg but schloss took it and ran with it)...on the flip side und football needs someone from the herald to show the same passion about covering football? wayne nelson is blowing up twitter with updates about steven kinser, dobmeier, and every other dirt track "superstars" hot lap times in kentucky somewhere?? we are less than two weeks away from the biggest season in recent history and a beat writer like schlossman covering football might create a little extra buzz about what is gonna be an entertaining fall for und football... i attended practice last week and he was there and i think he had only one tweet about blair's one handed catch near the sideline...wow.
