just saying that it was probably a lot like the show survivor...western was always in the mix from the beginning but alliances were formed and then they were on the outside looking in and just had to prove that they were serious about hockey. same thing with notre dame...they probably said they were in til the end and then when the vote came they walked away.

and you believe this? no mention of notre dame in here so its a little shady as to who the original "members" were...western was always in but got a little cold feet about how the nchc was requiring them to spend on hockey to be "serious" in the nchc...

i think this delay/announcement by the nchc is for unlv to get their stuff together...nchs is holding spot ten for unlv and has a side agreement with asu that they already have the ninth spot...or seventh and eighth if western and miami leave in a couple of years..

wrong...western and miami were a package deal...western just had to prove that they were gonna fund their program at a higher level which was taken care of quickly...it was supposed to 3 western, 2 midwest, and 3 eastern schools...notre dame messed it up a little

iirc it was supposed to be und umd omaha cc denver western mich miami and notre dame who said no then bowling green said no and then scsu said yes thank you lord

why would bowling green join the nchc now when they said no a few years ago when it was formed? i wonder if mankato sees a some conference alignment happening soon and see themselves (and bemidji) as the odd man out?

just add asu for holy sakes...give them a timeframe to add/improve/build a suitable arena (like scsu) or they kicked to the wcha....get it done.

so we're about two or three weeks removed from hadju's "big news for und sports" tweet...one logo anouncemnet and one media rights story later...??? is that it? maybe he meant that hak wanted hadju to paint his range rover green, black and white with a huge sioux logo on the top and vanity plates that say "soofrvr"? -

und used to bus to michigan tech...8.5 hours and i'm assuming when northern michigan was still in the old wcha we bused there too...10 hours any bus ride really no matter how long is infinitely less expensive than any charter flight (especially to alaska twice a year) northern michigan western michigan michigan tech ferris state lake superior state miami bowling green add in an eigth team or stick at seven if the two alaska schools do drop hockey i would wonder what happens to bsu, msu, and huntsville?
