That's an optics call too. This is just ridiculous. If my kid was playing in this game, I'd honestly be researching where these officials worked their day jobs and hoping to all hell that their employer depends on my business.

The clip makes it look worse than if you watch the entire play. I agree with the 5 and that game. The additional game to me is BS.

And Pinto has an extra 9 inches and 40 pounds. I think this suspension is complete BS. anybody remember what happened after Parise came back from WJC and got murdered by Anchorage. It ended with Blaise calling a code red and Matt Greene beating the piss out of a guy. Hawk got a game. Blaiser pretty much admitted to ordering the code red!

No issue with Pinto. He’s been abused all weekend. He upped his value with the Sens. jake Brandt is off his game tonight...pinto has Toews written all over him. Freshman got pissed off, let it go. better that than te soft hockey we saw last night!!

They want to get him signed so there is no chance he stays in school and becomes a free agent. heres a rookie max deal kid- sign it, get paid and go to the OHL... kinda bush league to do that mid-season...hopefully the conversation was “finish the season, then sign”

End of the day, I think this is a good loss. If I'm coaching, I remind the boys that first half championships occur 300 miles southeast. You have to work and play hard. It isn't devastating to any of our season goals. Its a good reminder. It looked like Omaha was chirping a lot too...tomorrow we will learn a lot about this year's edition.

We lost because our goalie who's been a stud all year had an off-night, and Omaha out worked us. I have 2 beefs with Brad tonight: 1. He should've hooked Scheel after the 3rd goal 2. He should've waited for possession to pull Thome

As Wilbur said, I have no problem with pulling the goalie in that situation, but put him at the circle until you gain possession.

Pairwise is all that matters, and this is not an RPI destroying loss.

Omaha wanted this one more. You could see it on the forecheck, the backcheck and in the circles. When you are playing a superior opponent and you get some puck luck, just play hard and disrupt. It works. It frustrates the hell out of top end players who want flow and hockey. That said Omaha has some good speed. They were hard on pucks and hard on bodies. This is exactly what this team needed right now. Get beat for not playing hard hockey.

yzerman19 Jr just made the Brick Invitational for this coming summer. As a 2010 player, he’s keeping his options open for now, but he’s been in Sioux green since birth. BU, DU, and UMD are also contenders, but I’m assured that Golden Gophers are not a consideration. Although he’d be a good fit there now, as he can’t do real algebra. thought this was a good place to share this big accomplishment for the boy with my ss.com peeps with a little tongue in cheek on early recruiting.
