I got: UND vs Atlantic Winner and ASU vs PSU in Allentown MSU vs Maine and Clarkson vs UMass in Worcester Cornell vs Providence and UMD vs Northeastern in Albany DU vs Quinnipiac and BC vs OSU in Denver Moved every 3 seed, swapped Quinnipiac and Providence to avoid intraconference ECAC

So...if we finish the season 4-4, UMD must go 7-1 to take the Penny Rossa away from us. DU and Western have to go perfect 8-0 to tie us.

I think the way UMD is playing right now they deserve to be in the Tier 1 bucket. The 6 teams on your list can all beat each other on a given day. the biggest thing I’ve learned about this team is that we are a matchup team. So, I agree that being the overall #1 with its last line change is really critical to our best shot at #9

The OSU move is unnecessary, but I like the attendance boost of two Big 10 schools in Allentown.

If DU is a 4 seed, UND will not be in Loveland either due to the intra conference rule. i think the committee will start with straight brackets and see if they break down into obvious sites...

This is the most disgusting thing I’ve read in awhile. Trying to dox a kid without evidence to what end? the “guilty” party did not commit a crime either...can’t bad mouth a coach anymore or wish someone would be fired? the entire Sioux Hockey community is guilty of that....fire Hak, Fire Berry, etc. what a sad display of the perils of modern social media

DU has to be in Loveland. If UND is overall #1 they should be in Loveland. You are correct that they will debate that 2 vs 3 seed matchup as to how it holds bracket integrity. They tend to try and protect the #1 overall seed from the top #2 seeds

If UND stays the #1 overall seed, they would likely be in Loveland with DU if DU is either a 2 or 3 seed.

Good hypothesis. I’d add that some player’s games don’t mesh well with a particular coach or system or linemates as well. I’m glad he found a good fit and found his game...hope he loses it somewhere between CC and GF tomorrow

Now I’m developing a scenario that gets wonky. UND vs Sacred Heart or AIC and Clarkson vs Providence in Worcester...sets up David vs Goliath. NCHC vs Atlantic Hockey in a regional hosted by Atlantic hockey. Unfriendly confines for us out East there for sure. DU vs Quinnipiac and BC vs UMD in Denver...region of death. Mankato vs Northeastern and PSI vs ASU in Allentown Cornell vs New Hampshire and UMass vs Ohio State in Albany. only stated rule being violated is #1 seeds being placed closest to home in rank order. Can’t do it with UND and DU, because DU is host. You could send UND to Allentown instead of Mankato, but it’s a flight either way. Better to keep bracket integrity... so it’s Worcester this week...

All these references to DHG...is he really in trouble with the law and is there really a restraining order against him??

My takeaways on UMD are as follows: 1. That is a hard, heavy, fast team with a mean streak. Sandy and Herter have clearly brought Sioux hockey to the Twin Ports. 2. The Dawgs are an experienced good team. They have all bought in, all the non freshmen have rings, older guys have two. Importantly one of those guys is between the pipes. 3. The Dawgs have more skill than they get credit for. They are not Gopher or Sioux rejects or just the pride of the range- 3 guys on that team have World Juniors experience, where only two of our guys do, and for both of our guys it was this year. 4. As I said earlier on another post, They push the pace north south and don’t try to do too much 5x5. The speed at which they do this results in no time and space for anyone (including them), what it does do is forces other teams to panic or make mistakes that leads to turnover opportunities on the rush (lots of breakaway chances). Get a breakaway goal and 1 or 2 on the pp and give your opponents nothing to work with- that’s a recipe for a lot of wins. 5. I want nothing to do with them in the NCAAs. They will be a tough out. Whatever bracket they land in- especially if they get in as a 3 seed- will likely become the 2020 region of death.

NCAA is going to want an Eastern team to win it this year...
