I do have another guestion, when does Alerus' naming rights deal expire?
I think the deal was long term, like 20 years or so.

UPDATE 07DEC2005
How long do these polls stay open?
A long time, sometimes, months.

Congrats to Digger, the awards keep piling up for him. What an exceptional career he had.

Here's an article about Toews and Team Canada.
You can feel the enthusiasm Toews has for trying to secure a spot on that team, just by reading his quotes.

Coach Tibesar is a very talented coach and well respected guy. Good luck to him.
-
According to Boschee's book, Minnesota, Arizona, and Indiana were 3 of the several other schools that heavily recruited him.
He was a freshman in high school and played at a team camp at Indiana, which made Bob Knight take notice that early in Boschee's career.

great point!! or get a feed that actually works if your going to charge.........
No kidding, I'm sick of all the excuses when it comes to the troubles with dataflix and with the audio on the web.

Al Pearson has another bus trip planned. He was on the radio today telling people to give him a call. I'm sure you can find his number somewhere.

A big NO to the Imperials. sorry.

Great read guys, really enjoyed it and agree a lot with your assessments of the programs.

Lets face it - 90% of siouxsport.com is hockey.

Chapman- Nice guy. Seems interested but is ambitious. It is clear he wants to put NDSU on the map any way he can. He is extremely charitable and is well connected with the Fargo community. Him and his wife donate all of the food to my church every Passover for the community seder (we're a group of MAYBE 40-60 families in a church who finished in the black by a whopping $67 last year so this is a real big deal to us) including all of the equipment needed to serve the dinner (sternos etc.). I hold Chapman in high esteem despite the fact that I don't hold the same for NDSU athletics.

I thought Statsny was drafted in this year's draft because last year's draft was cancelled.
If you want a true overaged draft pick, look down the road at CC to Brian Salcido.
Last year's draft was cancelled? News to Ovechkin in 04 and Crosby in 05.
You beat me to it DMT.

Sure, but so far, most of our talent has come in being fairly solid on both aspects of the game.
I can think of a lot of kids that have come in that might not be solid in both aspects of the game. This kid is good and is only going to get better. When you become a professional scout or start your own pre-draft ranking service, I'll listen to you.
-
THat last part bothers me...
"Defensively lacking..." and so on.
I guess it doesn't bother the scouts or the real experts who list him so high in the pre-draft rankings. He is young and will need to develop his defensive skills to succeed at whatever level he is playing on.

This kid is going to be a lot of fun to watch. Great job to Hak and his staff.

Another mystery of this week's poll is how Central Washington jumped up three spots to number seven. They have a win over an NAIA school, which is very costly to your quality win index, and although they do have a nice win over Washburn, their other six wins consist of five teams with below .500 records, plus the aforementioned NAIA team.
I was wondering this same thing myself. Just when someone thinks they have figured this out...................we have teams moving up and moving down all over the place..................BCS BCS BCS

Virg is a good writer and I'm glad to see him staying close to the sport.

The Falcons were really dominating the line of scrimmage. I'm not sure the Jets picked up too many blitzes the whole night. I wouldn't want to be a QB for the Jets right now as they have a jumbled O-line and are trying to move some guys around to fill in for some injuries.

I didn't know where else to put this, so I thought I would add it into this thread.

I'm usually raggin' on Inside College Hockey, but I have to give them credit for some nice comments.
I'm right there with you when it comes to raggin' on INCH, but they can be applauded for their comments this week.

UND's jersey's have had a fight strap for a long time now. I'm not sure about college, but I know all NHL jersey's must have them and they must be attached during a game.
