  1. shouldn't be surprised to see fewer student tickets, most student-level jobs require weekend work. Looks like there with still be more than 1500 student tickets 'sold', getting close to a student sellout, which is solid.

expecting a close game. Not going to predict a winner because i don't feel particularly confident either way. I'll call it a tossup

One thing to realize about the 1500 students you will get, most of them will be those that are actually interested in the game and willing to make the noise. You'll get those seated down by the sidelines willing to heckle, willing to make noise, and willing to put doubt into the opposing team. Those 1500 will be the loudest of the students, and hopefully they will motivate the season ticket holders and other general admission to make noise as well. Last week I was truly disappointed in the large number of absences present in the season ticket holder sections on the UND sidelines. Please criticize them before criticizing the large number of students that showed up to support the team against an inferior opponent last week.

mg2009, I'm not saying you're criticizing, that is more of a general statement to other posters that have been negative/critical towards the student section in the past. I agree with just about everything you say in your post except I'm predicting a UND win.

  2. Usually you hear a broken leg you think months or a seaon gone. Only a few weeks if it gets broken again? I am not in the medical field but can you throw on a broken fibula (meaning planting his foot).

His deep pass to Hardin down opponent sideline was the play after breaking the leg I think. A bit underthrown, but still a good throw for chucking it over a broken fibula and not knowing exactly what was wrong at the time.

  3. Hmm, that's a good point. Just out of curiosity, what BSC teams have grass fields? Also, anyone have an idea of the quality of turf that'll be in the IPF? Will it be remotely comparable to the new Alerus turf?

My guess would be that it would be similar to what they have on Memorial right now.

  4. Wasn't there talk of putting in another parking garage on the lot immediately across from Memorial? If I'm not mistaken, they were going to put that parking garage in, then convert the rest of that lot into the soccer field/track. Likely then they'd just have the overflow parking at REA and bus over similar to how they bus overflow parking to the REA now.

  5. Yes, you lost by 10 and we didnt even have a QB.

Now we have the best QB in the BSC. (If he gets to play)

Three years ago UND was in the middle of the transition to FCS, playing a perennial power in their own home yard, were winning at one point, and only lost by 10. What does all of this mean for the game this year? Absolutely squat. Both teams are different and we'll find out in a couple months. Thank all that is holy that forum trash talking doesn't dictate what happens on the field :silly:

  6. Why argue about it? Because somebody made a comment about some certain jerseys being baggy (as if that was a bad thing). I was sticking up for the baggy jerseys because those are the kind of jerseys that I like. Then of course an argument always must ensue every time I stick up for something that somebody else puts down.

Which usually involves you putting down something that other people like. Ask the majority of current football players which they would prefer, the baggy jerseys of the 70's or the current tight jerseys and almost every single one of them will tell you the current model, especially anyone that has to run with the ball. Which should UND take into account when designing the new jerseys, the opinion of someone who will never play another snap, or the current and potential players in their program?

  7. This!

Gotta agree but at the same time there simply was not a lot of running in the spring game. You could see the coaches wanted to evaluate the QB position and so just about every play was a pass it seemed.

  8. Fault of the OL?? Or is our pass rush that good.

To me the white line was the weaker or more inexperienced one. It could have been pass rush but I think it was more OL fault. There were flashes of some good pass protection, but not enough to see what all the offense could do, at least not like what the green team accomplished.

  9. To me the offensive lines were the difference in this game. Bradley was given time to throw and he didn't disappoint. You can see the difference a year can make. Aside from a few errant throws (the one interception and likely should have been another), I think he was the best QB today. Problem with Hansen is that you never really got to see him sit in a pocket and make a throw, the green defense was on him all day.

Some pretty exciting plays and plenty of reasons to be excited for next season. Hardin is a stud, Townsend had the catch of the day, and Jackson is definitely a load to bring down. I like the confidence in McGill as well. Our receiving corps is definitely going to be a strength.

  10. I'm withholding my vote until I actually can see them in action. I work while the practices are going on and was out of town for the last scrimmage, so all I have is other's hearsay. You'd think though, that Braden would be the guy for this year.

  11. They won't be missed. Didn't want to work, just wanted the glory of wearing the jersey and posing in the team picture. We all know when this team played anyone out of their conference they didn't have enough talent to win. Going to the Big Sky, we need to upgrade the talent and a coach needs scholarships to get that done.

You have inside information on this or just feel like being opinionated?

  12. Was it just me or did anyone notice our third line out there pretty often with Minnesota's top line? I know that Mario's first goal was against the top line, can't remember if his second was or not. Just seemed that everytime I saw Mario, Gleason, and Pattyn out there I also saw the UM topline.

Great win, great comeback, great story. This team has come so far since the beginning of the year it's hard to believe. Hakstol has done an outstanding job and his job security definitely should not be in question after this.

  13. This is really hard to listen to right now. I know it's our radio guy but the officiating sounds somewhat suspect.

But seriously what are our guys doing? They can't do anything on offense and the defense sounds horrible. How can you go 8 minutes without scoring? Seriously?!
