I don’t think you should ever be satisfied with what you have. We absolutely need another PG, in my mind. Getting a guy of Q or Geno’s caliber is another question.

Grant needs to start. Ethan and Bentiu can provide some occasional shooting but Grant just provides more and is actually a building block of the future. Been saying it for a while. I think they were hoping to redshirt him but their hand was forced early on this season.

Guys, Tommy is in the front. That’s what I like to see from my QB. He can adapt!

Kid looks impressive to me. Rail thin but has some nice ball skills and quite athletic.

IMO every college coach deserves 4 years. That allows him to have a recruiting class come in and go through college (assuming no redshirt). In Sather’s case Covid was thrown in there too which throws a loop in things.

The problem with today’s day is not only do you have to recruit kids to come play for you but you also have to recruit your own players to stay. I think as @SWSiouxMN pointed out, Sather needs to retain any talent he has. Losing Tyree and Sims last year sucked let’s not do it again this offseason. He has recruited some talented kids but then some have left and he gets left having to fill a big roster in short order. I’m not saying this isn’t his fault but let’s give it another year or so and see where we are at. I can tell you this much, he is a far better Coach than Jones ever was.

I will admit, it is a sh*tpost but I’m just bored and need football back. All these other sports besides women’s basketball sucks.

One thing I notice in this picture is Trey Feeney is right there in the front row. Doesn’t mean he’s going to be a good QB but shows me he has some leadership qualities. Another thing I notice is, I believe Tommy is in the back row (I could be wrong so please correct me if so). Now I’m a Tommy guy and think he gets some undeserved hate but I think it says something.

I think Sather needs to find an assistant coach that can recruit Minnesota, easier said than done sure. There’s so much talent right next door it’s unreal. We also have a former player leading the charge at one of the better teams in the state consistently so let’s take advantage! A big part of any success Jones had was due to Q and Geno. I believe both were brought in with the help of Coach G, who’s now at UST so that doesn’t help!
