I’m going to make a somewhat bold take. No matter who is named the starting QB, I think Romfo is no lower than 2 on the depth chart. And he’s going to play regardless, but that’s not bold.

7-5. Really this might be best case scenario for this year. I don’t think we are pulling off the FBS upset. Probably not beating NDSU in Fargo. The Montana and SDSU games could maybe flip due to location but unlikely. A couple of the road W’s I have are optimistic with our road record under Bubba.

Deng Deng came to mind for me. He might be a little raw but if he really is putting in work with Bo, you never know. If we weren’t as deep at RB as we are, I’d say Colton Brunell too.

Which true freshman do we think will contribute? With the 4 games, more than back in the day maybe but any that will go over 4 games? I always take a look at the numbers the players have and if they are the only ones with that number, they may be ones playing more. Not a perfect science by any means.

Yeah there. It defaults to the 2024 page showing 2023 roster but if you click to the 2023 roster and go and then click back to 2024 it should show updated. I stumbled into it.

2024 roster as of today. Someone with a better eye may notice any additions or subtractions that weren’t known. The only one I noticed was Lucas Schweigert is not on the team but that could have been known.

DL worries me. Again, will need a couple of the transfers and redshirt freshman from last year to step up.
I’m trying to be optimistic about the defense next year but I have had trouble doing so considering how they’ve been the last couple of years. Considering he’s technically a defensive coach, Bubba and his staff needs to get this side figured out. They will be relying on some D2’s/Juco/NAIA players making the jump up so it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
I’ve heard from a player that Erkman is the real deal. We shall see.

I want the basketball program to grow for sure but sometimes bigger isn’t always better for the venue. The Alabama game would be the time to do it but I get the argument for keeping it at the Betty and especially the logistics.
Other than Alabama, I don’t really see a need for playing at the Ralph ever. The Bison game this year was big but would it have been big enough to host at the Betty and still give us that home court advantage feel? Not sure about that.

Is USD getting too much hype? Feel like anytime I go on twitter I see stuff talking about them in the same breath as the xDSU’s and Montana’s right now. They certainly had a good year last year but it’s only one year removed from a 3-8 year. I know they have Bouman returning but no clue on the D, which I’d say was their strength. They could be legit, just an observation.
