It’s always interesting with basketball to watch for any departures. Obviously we hope to keep the squad in tact but players like G and Shockey could think they have better opportunities elsewhere, as others have mentioned.
It’s going to be real tough for UND to make a huge jump in the standings I think. Need Shockey or Bergan to really step up or Bruns to come in as advertised.
Paul Bruns a 6’4” scoring guard from SD appears to be the big get. Also have Gavin McGrath a 6’10 center from Wisconsin that seems to be a talented defender. And finally Reid Grant is a guard from Iowa that is committed but has not signed his NLI so not sure but I am guessing that’s more on UND’s end with figuring out scholarships.
This is pretty much my thoughts spot on. A little adversity early on in the season losing DAE but I think the team kind of took off after that. Hard to say they were for sure better without him but it lead to others stepping up a bit. Very disappointing to be the team to give Denver its only conference win and then Omaha too (besides Denver).
I guess my thought process was if he was say 75% but could go if needed why rush him back? I mean I have no clue where he is actually at but what everyone else has said makes sense too.
One thing that has been awesome about this team is seeing the receiver depth. It seems like a new one is stepping up each week to make some big plays and they’re all underclassmen.
What a joke with UNI. You’re right, who knows what the future holds for UND but 1) how is UNI ahead of UND and 2) how are they ahead of SDSU still? We saw that game and who won. Come on.
Just judging off highlights, Yotes freshman QB looks like a gun slinger can move a bit. Had some side arm throws. Also looked like he came up limping a few times. Also, had to be a hell of a feeling for him to start as a true freshman in his hometown.
