    2016 Season

Any OL geniuses on hear that can analyze Bryce Blair's play thus far? The way I see it, these are extremely valuable reps that could pay off in 2 or 3 years as he becomes a veteran on the line. How is his technique, because his size is very underwhelming at this point. This kid needs to take advantage of that meal plan and start putting back some cheeseburgers, haha. Seriously though, hope he can pack on some muscle, because if he is getting good reps as a young guy, hopefully he can add the size to go with it.

Not just for football. Volleyball as well. Huge for them to be able to host.

    2016 Season

That would be huge! Just realized Mercer was a Jr. and we'll get him for another year. I thought he was a senior for some reason. So that is fantastic too, especially with some of this chemistry that seems to be developing. I was a little underwhelmed early in the season, which was probably wrong, as he was new and needed to adjust. Having Clive and Demun back could be huge for this team though. Wanzek and Toivenen will continue improving. And Stanley is certainly solid. All of a sudden our WR core looks pretty darn good, and can hopefully open up some room to run. We'll have a tougher schedule next season, but also an even better team to compete with. Bubba has definitely done this the right way.
  4. Agreed, UND will continue to improve, but will never have the attendance that SU has, no more than we will ever have the attendance that the Griz have. Just need to focus on continuing to improve attendance and game day experiences within the AL, and not focus too much on keeping up with NDSU in that way. If we could get 11-12k in there consistently, and even a few more for Big games, I'd be thrilled. Not sure what the limits are with standing room, but if it ever came down to it, I would think they could add some sort of risers in the catwalk to create additional standing room. Again, this doesn't turn around overnight. We've made huge strides this year. Undefeated in conference and winning the big sky will certainly make some noise, and should increase season ticket ownership next fall. Making some noise in the playoffs would be the next step. Assuming we pick up a seed, we should avoid the Thanksgiving holiday. Unfortunately, some fans will be out of town for the UND/BC game, but we should still be able to put together a nice showing in a playoff game.

    2016 Season

Would be great. Unfortunately, when I hear Clive's name, I keep seeing him try to stand up and his leg bend where it shouldn't. Gruesome injury.
  6. absolutely! I knew I was forgetting someone. Stanley has stepped up nicely this season.
  7. I'll admit that there was a point on Saturday where I had lost hope. I figured the game was over, and even with a playoff spot in our future, what were our chances with our team playing like that, and Keaton struggling and being so beat up. Wow, what a game! Even though I figured it was over, I found myself trying to map it out, as though if we hurried up and got 1 TD, there was still time to try to get a few more to tie it up. Seemed pretty far fetched. Studrud is tougher than nails. Very impressed with that kid and his determination to not only stay in the game, but also make an impact and make the difference with his arm. Mercer picked the right time to step up and create some chemistry with Keaton. This could be HUGE going into the playoffs. Big teams make big plays, and none were bigger than the Deion Harris pick 6. Almost exactly like the one he had against USD, and you could see it coming from a mile away. As soon as the QB looked that way, Harris stopped back pedaling and moved up to jump the route. The interception factor has been absolutely unreal, and so much fun to watch this year. Credit to the player, and credit to Stepps. He has done a tremendous job. I'm a little wary about having such a long break now, going into the playoffs; but the truth is, there probably isn't another team that needs it more. These guys need to heal up. And I'll trust the coaches to keep the kids prepared so they don't get too rusty. It will be really nice if we can go into our game at the AL with a healthy QB and a healthy O-line. Get Taj back on the field and so on. Holidays are coming up, but these kids need to stay focused, and stay out of trouble. Can't wait, and so excited for what is left for this team.
  8. Totally agree with this. Granted you have to play the best at some point, but I agree, the matchup against NDSU is much better for us than EWU. Not a slam on NDSU obviously, just has more to do with style of play.
  9. Espn list attendance at 9049. is that right? if so, it's pretty disappointing . should have hit 10 for this game.
  10. OMG Harris!
  11. Cheap shot on dussold. no need for that.
  12. Was attendance announced?
  13. Better figure something out here. we're getting torched.
  14. that was a nailbiter
  15. Anyone get a picture of these guys? Radio said they had some new uniforms .... unless he was talking about Crown College.

    2016 Season

Got the blocked punt last weekend. But, I'd really like to see them go to cloyd more, or any of the TEs. We have some big athletic guys, not sure why we don't throw to them much more than we do.
  17. I hear ya, hosting Western or San Diego wouldn't be too bad, but who wants to play SDSU or Montana in the first round. I guess it doesn't matter, the guys just need to keep playing Bubba ball, and get wins, against whomever.

Also, has Dulin seen the field even once this season? Really hoping that kid can figure it out, because he certainly has the size to be a factor.

    2016 Season

I know it was mentioned on here that Clive was applying for a medical redshirt. Does anyone know when that is reviewed? or when we would find out if he can come back?
  20. I'm hoping that with our front 7 we're going to force the QB to rush and make some bad throws. I want to see the defense dial up pressure early like we did in the second half against Weber. Don't let NAU get into a rhythm.
  21. Yeah, I get that. And we don't have the top secondary in the league, but we're definitely better than last season. We'll give up some plays and some yards, but we can't give up the Big plays. It'll definitely be interesting.
  22. I think some of the nervous feeling people get about this game is because of the level of competition, and more so, I think a lot of the nerves are because of the stakes of the game. -Losing to an unranked (though very good team) won't help our playoff positioning. -This is the first time UND has been in this position in the D1 era, so of course we want success and dread failure, -We could win a Big Sky title. -We could lock up a seed. -We waited a long time for meaningful, late season, football. Bottom line, the nerves, are because we have a lot riding on this game.
  23. Agreed. somewhat of a catch 22 though. Awesome to be in that position, and get a bye, and be at home (most important part). A little nervous for having that much time off. Great for healing up, but I do worry about our offense reverting back to Stony Brook form. Hopefully, that won't be the case though. I still think the entire offensive success stems from the play of our offensive line. So maybe the extra rest will be good.
  24. Threads, as in conversation threads listed on the siouxsports.com forum. Again, that is ThreaDs with a D, not ThreaTs with a T.
  25. Wow, Great News!!! Take care of business against NAU!
