Cheap shot on dussold. no need for that.
-
Was attendance announced?
-
Better figure something out here. we're getting torched.
-
that was a nailbiter

Anyone get a picture of these guys? Radio said they had some new uniforms .... unless he was talking about Crown College.
-
Got the blocked punt last weekend. But, I'd really like to see them go to cloyd more, or any of the TEs. We have some big athletic guys, not sure why we don't throw to them much more than we do.
-
I hear ya, hosting Western or San Diego wouldn't be too bad, but who wants to play SDSU or Montana in the first round. I guess it doesn't matter, the guys just need to keep playing Bubba ball, and get wins, against whomever.
-
Also, has Dulin seen the field even once this season? Really hoping that kid can figure it out, because he certainly has the size to be a factor.
-
I know it was mentioned on here that Clive was applying for a medical redshirt. Does anyone know when that is reviewed? or when we would find out if he can come back?
-
I'm hoping that with our front 7 we're going to force the QB to rush and make some bad throws. I want to see the defense dial up pressure early like we did in the second half against Weber. Don't let NAU get into a rhythm.
-
Yeah, I get that. And we don't have the top secondary in the league, but we're definitely better than last season. We'll give up some plays and some yards, but we can't give up the Big plays. It'll definitely be interesting.

I think some of the nervous feeling people get about this game is because of the level of competition, and more so, I think a lot of the nerves are because of the stakes of the game. -Losing to an unranked (though very good team) won't help our playoff positioning. -This is the first time UND has been in this position in the D1 era, so of course we want success and dread failure, -We could win a Big Sky title. -We could lock up a seed. -We waited a long time for meaningful, late season, football. Bottom line, the nerves, are because we have a lot riding on this game.
-
Agreed. somewhat of a catch 22 though. Awesome to be in that position, and get a bye, and be at home (most important part). A little nervous for having that much time off. Great for healing up, but I do worry about our offense reverting back to Stony Brook form. Hopefully, that won't be the case though. I still think the entire offensive success stems from the play of our offensive line. So maybe the extra rest will be good.

Threads, as in conversation threads listed on the siouxsports.com forum. Again, that is ThreaDs with a D, not ThreaTs with a T.

Wow, Great News!!! Take care of business against NAU!

The WAC talk was pretty entertaining for a while, but it is truly getting boring. Why can it not be believe that UND would want to join the MVFC or Summit? Well publicized that UND needs to cut their spending, and switching conferences is 1 way to impact that spending, while still remaining in a good conference.
-
Don't need to read Bisonville to understand that the school is looking to cut some spending. I think the answer lies somewhere in the middle of this argument. If UND remains in the Big Sky, will they not be able to afford it and fold? No, but travel will continue to be a significant impact on the budget, and if it continues the way it has over the past year or so, they may find themselves having the conversation about cutting sports again. If UND moves to the MVFC, they will likely open up some funds that can be allocated elsewhere. I still think they are trying to support too many teams, but maybe some of these sports would not be in such danger of being cut. I get why some people like the Big Sky, especially with the Montana schools, but the more I think about the MVFC, the more I like the idea. Make the switch, play the Dakota schools, save some money, make it easier for fans to travel with the team, make it easier for opposing fans to make the trip to GF. There is a lot to like about this conference as well. Either way, UND will be a pretty solid position conference wise. Not like we are looking to move into the Pioneer League.

I hear ya, not trying to call you out. I'm sure for some kids its a tough decision, they have friends on the team, they may even enjoy their overall experience, but they may want to be closer to home. No idea if that was the case. Certainly sucks to lose good players, and he was definitely a good player.
-
Can't totally blame the guy. Had the opportunity to play closer to home, at a bigger school, when there was some instability here. I agree, I would have certainly liked to have him here, but you have to remember that these kids can transfer for any of number reasons. Obviously, he has been successful, so congrats to him. For what its worth, had he not transferred, last year would have been his final season.
-
Hopefully he is good to go for the playoffs.
-
If I were a betting man (which I'm not much of), I'd say Studs goes this week. Though hopefully doesn't run too much. Sounded like he wanted to get back into the game against Weber, but the coaches held him out. He may not be 100%, but he also doesn't generally make the huge throws down the field, so he might now need his are as much. I'm sure the coach and trainers will take the best approach. Don't want him to aggravate the injury, but he will have a week off after this game as well.

I'm not a big basketball fan overall, but I do enjoy watching UND. Hooker needs to absolutely take over this year. I expect a huge jump from Crandall; wonder why no start. Shanks will need to prove himself worthy of starting, he was not great last season, I though Avants outplayed him consistently. Who will step up from the perimeter, with McBuckets 2.0 gone. I also looks for big things from Drick. Definitely looking forward to the season starting, but I'll probably have to listen on the radio, as I'll be at work. Really wish the Big Sky would provide an app on Roku, though I may not have to worry about that as much if we move to the Summit/MVFC.
-
I'd take him, more depth is never a bad thing.
-
really? I would have though if he was going to transfer, it would be to NDSU as his uncle played there, and the Bison lose Frazier and Morlock this year. He'd be a good addition though.

This may not be their best QB, but that is because he was sitting behind Cookus, who is a pretty exceptions QB. Also have some very good WR, who can make even an average QB look good; especially now that they have had some time gel a bit. I do think we will be the best D line they have faced, so my hope is we can make their QB force some throws and make decisions quicker than he has had to all season. This could cause some more interceptions, and our D has certainly taken advantage in that department. What I would like to see is Schmidt dial up pressure early, similar to how he did in the second half of the Weber game. Get their QB off his game early, and never let them get a rhythm.
