I though I read that Stanley would probably play, but not sure about Stockwell. Take that with a grain of salt though, it is all hearsay from my side, and pretty much whatever I have read on here. I would think Stockwell would give it a go, since he tried to play against NAU. You wouldn't think he would be any worse off now that he was a few weeks ago.

Fair enough. Its the only common opponent, but it doesn't sound like UND or Richmond played to their potential in that game. Also hard to go off of Richmond's recent performances, with a new QB in place. First road start. I think there are just a lot of unknowns going into this game. Did I read that right? Johnson is questionable with an illness? That would certainly throw a wrench into the game. Hope the young man recovers though. Don't want to see a kid go out like that, though it happens. Also would suck for him to burn his redshirt for 1 game, and not be able to even compete to keep his playoff chances alive. Just can't wait to watch the game!

If I recall, they played a pretty tough Stony Brook defense. Didn't work out too well for the spiders that particular game though.

I get why people like the Big Sky. There is certainly an appeal to some of the team/schools in the conference. From a fan standpoint, it really sucks that people living in the general region where UND is, cannot really travel to away games. Of course they can, but it is much more of a hardship. Would be nice to get these athletes more support on the road, and for the fans to have more of a affordable opportunity to travel. As much as I would like to go see UND play in Montana, it is far more likely that I make the trip to South Dakota.

Seems like we have been in a pretty quiet time recruiting wise. Does anyone know if we can host recruits during the playoffs? I know it was mentioned that there were quite a few kids at the NAU game. When can we expect to start hearing about some more commitments?

Looks like Taj, Stockwell and Stanley are all still listed as questionable. Anyone have any additional information on the injury situation? If I recall, Stockwell tried to go against NAU. I would think he would try to go again after an additional 3 weeks off.

Studs looked pretty darn good in that second half against NAU, so if he has a slow start, maybe we just get Tank Harris to wrench his throwing arm back out of its socket. That seemed to work ok for him last time.

Agreed, I was more speaking to the people who think conference games don't actually mean anything. I think they are important for a number of reasons.

Does OOC play mean anything in terms of making the tourney? No. Does OOC play mean anything in terms of this team developing a winning identity? Absolutely! Losing these close back and forth games in such close fashion will absolutely translate into conference play, or even tourney play. I've really enjoyed watching this guys, but it is extremely frustrating to watch the most consistent part of the game be blowing it late. Hope they can figure it out quickly.

Johnson could have had a huge year. No doubt how big of a drop off we had after losing stecher. What a talent. I hope, at this rate, that we can make the tourney. Beyond that, I hope these guys learn a lot to prep for next season. I also don't blame the losses on Cam, he needs help, but I do think it is worth it to get someone else in there to get some playing time and experience. Just in case Cam were to get injured or something. I'm sure the coaches know more than us though, as they are in practice every day.

Heart is part of it. I don't like to say it like that, as though these kids don't want to win, but they do lack identity. Some people need to step up and be leaders and it can't always be the same few people. This team doesn't lack talent, but they do seem to lack a level of cohesiveness that we have had over the past decade. Even the Hak teams that had rough starts seemed to play with more identity than this. I love to win, and I know that sometimes we will lose. BUT beyond wins and losses is HOW do we win, and HOW do we lose. Unfortunately, even in several of our wins, I haven't been overly impressed with the flow or crispness in our games, and our losses haven't had many bright spots. This team has the potential to break late if we gel, BUT, the way we have started could mean we need a YUGE (credit Trump) second half to even make the tourney. This weekend could absolutely kill us in the pairwise. Not jumping ship on this team, but it is very tough to watch. A lot of mediocre play. Definitely lacking some of those top level, competitive, personalities like Caggiulia and Stecher.

So sick of watching this team beat themselves in close games with bad free throw shooting. very frustrating.

Didn't think this would be a conversation, but at this rate it is... IF UND misses the tourney, they can look back to this weekend as a big factor. I'd like to think this will get turned around. the last half of the 3rd was fun, but that was a pretty ugly game. not sure how you goes from smoking SCSU to looking so average against a bad team. Not worth comparing this year to last year, that's dumb. but this year itself needs to be addressed and improved.

Could be way worse the way we were playing. nice job closing the gap a bit. big second half here.

Been pretty sloppy so far. if we find a rhythm we could definitely win this one.
